  1. Don't book anything. Wait till after the Oath and then book a flight and get an expedited passport. Proof of upcoming trip within 2 weeks is ground for an expedited passport, you can get 1 within a few days
  2. I used to live in NY. My first N400 application got denied because my green card had the incorrect resident since date and I applied too early. Anyway when I was in NYC and applied, it took 66 days after application date to hear back for an interview. Using that data point, you'd hear back around May 5.
  3. Hi, please add your data point to here! All Feb 2024 filers are in this thread
  4. Any other Feb filing folks waiting for interviews, did you hear back yet?
  5. Chicago FO Submitted N400 on 02/20/2024 Biometrics Reuse 02/20/2024 Interview NOA received on 04/21/2024 Interview scheduled for 06/10/2024
  6. Chicago FO Submitted N400 on 02/20/2024 Biometrics Reuse 02/20/2024 Interview NOA received on 04/21/2024 Interview scheduled for 06/10/2024
  7. My interview is also going to be in Chicago FO on 6/10. I am excited! Kind of nervous, just hoping all goes well Congrats on getting your oath! Are you getting a name change, or no?
  8. Applied 02/20, PR anniversary is 5/17 (5 year rule, not marriage). Interview is scheduled for 06/10
  9. There's many reasons, but mainly there are certain benefits that are different for citizens vs permanent residents I think
  10. Don't worry about that, it's messy when everyone does it. But that's all they provide.
  11. I have seen this happen on Reddit. Sometimes, it happens because they don't ship your file in time to the field office, there could be other reasons. Usually in those few cases where it happens, people had a new interview date within 3-4 weeks, but other people did wait like 5-6 months with no news. I hope you are not in this boat. Good luck! Also, did you recently change your address or move to fall under new USCIS FO jurisdiction? Source 1 Source 2 Source 3
  12. I have seen some people scheduled for interview before their LPR anniversary. In fact someone in this thread is scheduled.
  13. https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?op6=All&op7=San+Jose+CA&op1=6&op2=&op4=1&op5=5%2C10%2C11&cfl=0 These are the processing times for San Jose
  14. The only impact it usually has is that you hear back sooner than you otherwise would. Processing times do vary though, you see people who file and get an interview in 14 days, and other wait like 5 months. Why? Who knows 😕
  15. Then expect there to be no delays. When did you apply? and was it under the 90-day early filing?
  16. Yes delays are usually likely if you changed your address and you now fall under the jurisdiction of a new FO
  17. That means that they were opening your file just to review it before the interview
  18. Did you get an oath ceremony date yet? You are doing name change at Chicago FO, correct?
  19. I would speak to them at the Oath, but once you're at the Oath and they print your maiden name on the application then you cannot reverse the decision because they're going to give you a certificate with your maiden name on it. Then you will need the name change documents
  20. Maybe someone can chime in here if I am wrong, but as far as I know, you are right. You will need a certificate confirming the name change back to your maiden name, especially if you legally changed your name to your ex-husband's last name and obtained a Social Security card with your ex-husband's last name on it.
  21. Include the ticket for good measure even if under $500. Whatever you include shows good moral character
