  1. Hi Miguel, Yes I had my interview on the 20th of July, but it was a different visa, CR-1. I hope yours does not get canceled ! Good luck in your process. Laurent
  2. Hi, They do. But my interviewer was American, and started the conversation in English, so I do think they expect you to speak English during the interview. In any case, that is the experience I had at the Paris embassy, it might differ somewhere else. Laurent
  3. Hi, Can you pay the fee when you enter the US at the POE, that’s what I was thinking to do. Laurent EDIT: If I wait for my entrance in the US to pay the fee, will the issuance be significantly delayed ? Thanks for your advice.
  4. Yes, they send you an e-mail as well to tell you it’s coming.
  5. They also told me that they send the passports every Thursday via UPS.
  6. Hi Fr0210, I am in the same situation, I had my interview on the 20th of July, and yesterday (23rd) I saw that my status was "ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING". The Consular Officer told me that I was approved, but often there is miscommunication between the doctor's office and the embassy for the transfer of the medical results, and that is why you have to wait several days before seing "ISSUED" on the CEAC tracker. That is the case for me (my medical results are normal by the way), so it might be the case for you as well. It's just bureaucracy ... Hope that helps ! Laurent
  7. Hi, In my case, my doctor told me that I had to wait two weeks between each vaccine (Rougeole, Oreillons, and Rubéole and Tétanos, Coqueluche, Dipthérie and Polio). Hope that helps. Laurent
  8. Hi David, Thank you 😃. Here is the review I posted for my experience at the embassy: « My CR-1 interview at the Paris, France embassy took place on the 20th of July 2020 at 9:00 A.M. I arrived at 8:45 A.M, but was only able to go through the security gate/screening at 9:00 A.M. I had to wear a mask. They check your bag and pockets, you cannot bring a laptop, food or drinks. You have to leave your cell phone turned off with the security staff. Afterwards, I was asked to give my passport, my police certificate, my interview letter and my DS-260 confirmation. It was just so I could give those documents to the next person inside the embassy. When I got in, I sat in a room with 20+ booths were you will get called to speak to the embassy staff. I almost did not wait and was called by an employee of the embassy. The woman asked me for my passport, my police certificate, my interview letter and my DS-260 confirmation as well as my photograph, my birth certificate and my mariage certificate. She gave me some explanations about the next steps and my entry in the U.S. She also took my finger prints. After that I was asked to sit down and wait for the Consular Officer. He called me and asked me to swear that I will say the truth. He asked me 5 or 6 questions: - How did you meet? - What kind of work to you plan on doing when arriving in the U.S? - When and where did you get married? - Where do you live right now? - Where will you live in the U.S? The interview lasted about 5 minutes. At the end he told me that I was approved and welcomed me in the U.S. He also said that I will only receive my passport in the mail, the packet/enveloppe is not used anymore, the information are sent directly electronically to the POEs. The send the passports back on Thursdays through UPS, so I should get my passport back approximatively within 4 or 5 business days. Then I exited the embassy and got my cell phone back. My whole visit lasted 45 minutes (9:00 A.M till 9:45 A.M). » I hope that answers your questions ! Laurent
  9. Thank you ! No they send passports on Thursdays via UPS, so I might be able to receive it on Friday or Saturday (I live close to the embassy). Laurent

  12. Hello everyone, Just a quick update for those waiting for their medical exam. I scheduled mine with Dr Slattery and it happened today. It went very well, he is very nice. The process was smooth. I hope that will give you guys some piece of mind. Laurent
  13. Hello Dia, I can only speak for my embassy, but they are only conducting IR1-CR1 ("mission critical") visa interviews at the moment. I think it is similar in other embassies. Hope that helps ! Laurent
