Visa for 1 year old

Hello,

I am an LPR in the USA. My one year old and husband are still in my home country.

Since I am an LPR I am not able to apply for my son specifically (I can only do that if I am a citizen). I would like to bring my son since he is only a year old.

If possible I would like to bring both my son and husband together. How should I go about this?

You file an I 130 for your Husband and the child would be included as a dependent. Now F2a is backed up so it could be a long wait.

If you are close to Naturalisation then you also need to file an I 130 for the child as spouses of USC's for some reason do not include dependents and that will be much quicker.

File I-130 for your spouse, later on at NVC you can add your son. With current circumstances process will take about 5 years.

LPRs are most certainly allowed to petition for their minor children specifically.  But if you want to bring over both your husband and son, you may petition for your husband only, then your son can be added later as derivative beneficiary.

What do I do for my child besides his passport. What else would I need for him to get through the airport? Would I be able to go pick him up and bring him with me?

What form do I fill for my 1 year old? I can fill the I 130 for my husband but what about my son?

Passport, visa, a letter from the father consenting you taking him out of the country

Also I-130.

She can file for both her husband and son separately and she should.

This way, when she naturalizes, both petitions are in place.

Great point

You can always do a paper filing.

What would be the benefits of paper vs online? 🤔

Are you talking about ir2 form? Isn't that only for us citizens? I am an lpr

I think you should consider hiring a service or an attorney to help you.
