Cannot Update my VisaJourney Timeline

As the title says, I cannot update my timeline. I have just received notice from the NVC that they received my petition from the USCIS, provided me my case number, and said they have sent my petition to the embassy in my fiance's home country all in one response email. This was on July 3. However when I go to update my timeline in my profile it will not accept the date I enter, and puts "ERROR" on both my "Date I-129F NOA2 Approved" box  (March 24, 2023) and "Date Package Received By NVC" box (July 3, 2023. I don't know exactly the day the NVC got my petition because I was never told when they got it).

Are the two dates too far apart or something? I'm entering in the date using the calendar provided by the site. I'd like to keep my timeline up to date just to keep the record.

I messed around with the dates. It appears that it will not let you set an NVC Package Received date if it is 2 months or more after the NOA2 approved date. I set it for 1 day before the 2 month anniversary of my NOA2 date and it let me save my timeline.

I have no idea why the system would not allow this to be a free-to-set date. Seems weird. If it took 14 weeks then it took 14 weeks. I shouldn't have to lie and say it only took 8 weeks just to update my timeline. 😅😐

Im having same issue. I had to lie 1 day short of 2 months for the  system to accept. In reality, it took more than 2 months.

Are we the only one having this technical  issue?

Yes, apparently we are the only ones. I have looked into this a little more but found no information. 😑

I filled the contact form for VJ to let them know about this issue, but since I see other people did it too and never got a reply, I wanted to create a topic here about it. I see you were quicker!

I don’t think VJ ever considered that NVC would take more than 60 days. Well, almost 90 now. Should be fixed asap so the NVC processing timeline is accurate!

So which is the issue?  The time to ship it from the SC to the NVC or processing time at the NVC?

First one. The difference between NOA2 and NVC received dates seems to be limited to 60 days. Should be higher or have no limit.

Just seconding Sarah's post. It is the "Date Package Received By NVC" box.

Thank you Capt!!!!!

How are you getting the receipt date (just want to ensure I'm aligned) versus the "approved date"?  60 days to mail it there is a long time.  Are you using a later notice date for them (or is there no indication of received date until a later activity occurs)?

There was no indication of received date until later activity occured.

I'm not sure what was going on between the USCIS and the NVC. In my actual NOA2 approval letter (which I received March 23 or so) they said they had sent my petition to the NVC, but for about 100 days the NVC always responded to me saying they hadn't received it from the USCIS yet. It's as if it was in transit for the entirety of that time.

Then suddenly all at once on July 3 they notified me that they received my petition, processed it, gave me a case number, and then sent it off again to the embassy in the Bahamas.

It is. But USCIS doesn't seem to care at all. NVC processing is starting to get faster but for March and April NOA2s, it's taking almost 80 days for NVC received, and 100 days for case number or leaving NVC. May NOA2s experienced faster processing (my NVC received was 52 days from my NOA2, so I was able to input it). June NOA2s are getting it at around 30-40 days, so it's returning to normalcy.

It's not an isolated case at all. We just want the timelines to be able to reflect this delay.

Can you try now?  I increased the time limit to 120 days (from 60). :)
