  1. Just circling back in here with an update. We were able to keep bumping up our appointment and secured a Feb 2024 appointment (original was May, 2026). Did ASC appointment last month, where they told us that we didn't need to do the consulate appointment since it was just a replacement. Was super nervous when they cancelled the consulate appointment, but it worked out. Last week the status went from Application Received to Approved. And this week it flipped from Approved to Issued. Won't believe it until we have the BCC card in hand, but happy to be past most of the hurdles already.
  2. Thankfully we have been able to secure a BCC appointment a couple months from now. Very thankful since the original appointment was in 2026. I keep seeing last minute consular appointments show up (cancellations) for the very next day (this is in the AIS system). Is it possible to do the consular appointment before the ASC appointment? Or do fingerprints/photos have to be done before the consular appointment?
  3. Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately that's what we were afraid of. Current wait time for an interview is 826 days, eek. Is there a possibility of securing an earlier interview? Either because he was previously approved for a BCC, or because a window opens up in the system, etc? If not, we are also considering applying for a K1 visa (I am a US citizen), or maybe both. Appreciate any insight!
  4. Hi all - New to this board and loving the community here. Appreciate any help you can provide us! My boyfriend recently lost his B1/B2 Border Crossing Card (Mexico) while we were traveling in San Diego. Is it possible to get a replacement card, or does he have to apply all over again? We have a photocopy of it thankfully in case that would help at the Consulate.
