Timeline

I just a quick question about my taxes . Can I file jointly with my husband? I sent a w-7 with the taxes . I didn’t sent it to the right department. Do I need have my husband on my  taxes ? You can’t file single . They say I need power of attorney. Thank you

Exactly.  So you provide a complete copy of what you filed, everything.

Ok , we didn’t do the form 2848 and the certified copies of the identification. If I understand right . I need to do two form 2848. They told me he needs to send it in , but from what I read . I need to do one to and sign his also . I can’t file single . They have me down as the only taxpayer. I sent to the wrong department didn’t find out until a few days ago .

Then file by mail, Married, filing separately.

I’m going try jointly then if not I do that . I have a business and trying to use the standard deduction thanks . We will send all the documents in soon .
