Feeling paranoid about I-129F

Hi,

I submitted my I-129F back in May of last year, and only got around to making an account here recently. When I got my paperwork together, I remember I had to re-print the last page of the I-129F because of a typo. This is also the same page you pure your signature on. I am fairly sure I signed it again, but I have been paranoid about possibly having forgotten. Everything else was fine. We submitted photos of us together, screenshots of conversations, statements of intent to marry, all the required proof of the relationship. We even included extra documents that weren't required, such as the beneficiary's Certificate of No Current Marriage. If the entire submission is perfect except I forgot to sign it, does the whole thing get rejected or will I just get an RFI? I will literally fly to California to their office to sign it if I have to. I would want to die if we had to start all over again over such a small thing. The wait times are so long

If you failed to sign the I-129f or the letter of intent to marry, it will likely be rejected.

But it should have been rejected right out at the lockbox stage.  Since it was submitted in May 2022, I would imagine the forms, payment and required evidence met the standard.

This is what I hope for. You would hope they at least check for super basic stuff like that instead of making you wait over a year to tell you.

Should have if they detected it then. If unsigned, it won't make it through the entire process, imo.

Resend the entire form, ensure it's signed, to California USCIS center. Now.

 

Would it help? Unclear.

 

Am I using the same process to pre-provide data before RFE or a denial? Yes.

Won't this just be added to their pile and they'd never see it before it's too late? I don't see how this would do anything to be honest.

I refuse to give up. So I will keep doing it anyway.

 

I intend to prepare 3-4 pre-RFE packets using the very same way. My only reason for delay, my beneficiary failed at an even prior step, so we're working on a Schengen packet.

May I ask why you're sending the RFE stuff in advance? Did you leave certain things out of the original packet?

I remember sitting in the car at the post office checking the signature page for 5 minutes and checking it again inside the office before sealing it. I read that a surprising amount get rejected for failure to sign, as it is in a location that it is ready to miss.

 

i still wonder if I missed anything, 16 months is a long time to hear if you made any mistakes.

Are you referring to page 10 (where you sign and date) or page 13?

Page 10. Sorry for the confusion. Last night my fiancé pulled up our chat logs where I told her I had checked that I signed everything so I guess I am just paranoid. Apparently the one I had been anxious about after sending the packet was trying to remember whether or not I had signed the money order. Which I obviously did since I got my receipt and never got my money refunded or anything.
