Hey I am also waiting for an interview from the Guayaquil Consulate. I am very frustrated because on another forum a lady posted she got an interview for U.S citizen parents 15 days after being DQd (in april). 

My visa category is IR1 and we were DQd back on January 21st 2023, I contacted the consulate and they told me they have available appointments for July and August but for some reason the NVC won't schedule one. 

There is no backlog for this category so I am confused because the consulate keeps saying its the NVC's fault and the NVC says its the Consulate.

There's nothing you can do. The waiting period is now going 6 to 8 months. I've been DQ'D since  December. Going my IL comes this month.
