Consulate Review: Dominican Republic
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 12, 2023
Embassy Review : Very nice experience. I found it very organized. Please bring all of your paperwork and proof, because they will ask. Don't forget your ID and passports. Suggest you get there as early as possible as the lines form early and it's a wait. They promptly open the doors at 7a. There is parking in the area. The people that work there are very nice and professional and again, very organized.
Rating : Very Good

Do you know how long the Dominican embassy is taking to schedule visa appointments?
TayTay2022 on 2023-01-04 said:
Up to 3 months. Wished sooner but you never know. And it can be anywhere between 3-5 weeks from the time they notify you of the actual interview date. Still waiting for mine.

My interrview took 5 months to schedule (October 2022) , and when it arrived (March 2023) the interview was in 2 months (May 2023)

Congratulations! Is your spouse a US citizen? I'm curious to know if it's taking longer for permanent residents

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
