Very much debating waking up for 5am kickoff tomorrow for England-Iran. I mean, the result is probably a foregone conclusion, but on the other hand, England is always good for a "how did they throw it away" result. Nothing like a little heartbreak before breakfast!! My guess is tomorrow's USA-Cymraeg result will be a draw, 0-0 or 1-1. At most, 2-1 to the US. This may be a controversial stance at home, that's all I'm saying. Group B is rough, 3 teams I normally root for.

I would use Cymru in that context.  Presumably him in doors will be supporting Iran.

 

England have an OK team, but a weak manager and I see that being their downfall, not that they should not be able to get out of the Group, but the options further on are going to be tricky.

 

Wales or US should be the choice for second, but I know very little about Iran, tomorrow morning will tell.

Yes, Tim Cymraeg and Cymru, derp. Yes, he is pulling for Iran tomorrow morning but will not be watching. It's like my friend who went to the University of Tennessee says if you ask him who he's rooting for. Tennessee, and then whoever's playing Alabama.  

 

Yeah, agreed about the manager. Southgate pulls too many punches -- Euro 2020/21 final was a particular disappointment. On the other hand, I do find him kind of sexy for an older fella so... Look, I can't explain it either. Al says he deserves an apology for even knowing that about me, let alone my support for England. 

 

I have all the matches on YouTube TV as far as I know, and since we also have EPSN+ I expect we can watch them there too. But Al agrees with you that the US commentators generally suck. If it is truly awful, we'll go the VPN route as well.

Boiler wins the prize. The native name of Canada is indeed Cnd.  When foreigners ask Canadians to spell that, we say:

 

”C eh, N eh, D eh”

 

and so it comes out as Canada in other countries.
