K3 Visa question

I want to file a K3 visa and on the list it states that I need to include a marriage certificate. I already included a marriage certificate in the I-130 application I sent in February. Do I need to attach another copy for the K3? I stupidly included the only copy of the marriage certificate I had in the I-130. I can always ask my spouse to send me another one but that's gonna take additional time and I wasn't to send out the K3 by the end of this week

Yes.  The instructions say it must be included along with proof that an I-130 has been sent.

Thank you. I should have made a copy but alas I wasn't thinking and just submitted the only one I had. 😓

Bear in mind there will never be any K3 visa issued.  Submitting the I-129F for spouse is a gimmick that sometimes works to get the I-130 approved faster.  The time to submit it would have been very soon after receiving the receipt for filing the I-130.  Won't hurt to do it now, but there's nothing magic about the end of this week.

In my opinion, I think you should work on getting a certified copy of your marriage cert first.

You will most likely not get that original back.

 

You will need to upload a copy at the NVC stage and might be asked for during the interview.
