Hello friends, I am wondering about these two options, applicants who are under background check with 360 application, and also those who are already approved in 360 and are still under background check in next stage 485 application, which application is actually background and security checked?  If they are checking on 360 then why is it  delay for 485 background check reason .

Happy weekend everyone,

 

I saw on the advance parole that it is good for one year so if I were to leave to visit a family member that is in the hospital does that mean I am allowed to stay outside of the country for one year without repercussions? Or is there an unspoken rule that the maximum amount of time I can spend a broad while my AP is valid is six months or something like that?

You can stay as much as you want. Technically you can stay until it expires. But i don't think anyone recommend to stay entire one year.

Maximum i stayed 6 months.

01/21/2021 - We accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485. Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case.

01/23/2021 - Received notices for I-130,  I-485, I-765, I-131

02/05/2021 - The fingerprints relating to your Form I-485 and Form I-765 were taken.

04/13/2021 - I-693 Deficiency Notice

05/24/2021 - We are ready to schedule your Form I-485 for an interview.

06/17/2021 - We received your request for expedite processing for Form I-765.
06/23/2021 - Your request to have your case expedited, was assigned to an officer for response for Form I-765.

06/23/2021 - We sent a response to your request to have your case expedited for Form I-765.
06/23/2021 - Your request to have your case expedited, was completed for Form I-765.

06/28/2021 - We approved your request for expedite processing for Form I-765.

06/28/2021 - We scheduled an interview for your Form I-485.

07/18/2021 - We sent a response to your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time for Form I-131. 

07/28/2021 - We ordered your new card for Form I-765.

07/29/2021 - We approved your Form I-765 with 2 year validity. We approved your Form I-131 with 2 year validity.

07/30/2021 - We mailed your new card your Form I-765, directly to the address you gave us.

08/02/2021 - The Post Office picked up mail containing your new card for Form I-765.

08/05/2021 - Initial interview for Form I-485. Spouse also attended but separated. Told IO that I-360 was filed. Did not take any evidence to prove the marriage is valid so later got a RFE. 

08/11/2021 - Request for evidence to prove bonafide marriage and form I-130A and I-693. 

08/19/2021 - Submitted the RFE directly to Field office. 

08/24/2021 - Your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, was completed for Form I-131.
Progress related to Form I-360

06/17/2021 - Mailed Form I-360, I-485, I-765, I-131

06/25/2021 - We received your Form I-485, Form I-131, Form I-765.

06/29/2021 - We received your case and waived the filing fee for your Form I-360

Once upon a time, a powerful Emperor of the Rising Sun advertised for a new Chief Samurai. After a year, only three men had applied for the job: a Japanese samurai, a Chinese samurai, and a Jewish samurai.

 

"Demonstrate your skills!" commanded the emperor.

 

The Japanese samurai stepped forward, opened a tiny box, and released a fly.  He drew his samurai sword, and swish! the fly fell to the floor, neatly divided in two.

 

"What a feat!" said the emperor.  "Second samurai, show me what you do."

 

The Chinese samurai smiled confidently, stepped forward, and opened a tiny box, releasing a fly.  He drew his samurai sword, and swish! swish! the fly fell to the floor, neatly quartered.

 

"That is skill!" nodded the emperor.  "How are you going to top that, third samurai?"

 

The Jewish samurai, Hiroshi Cohen, stepped forward, opened a tiny box, released one fly, drew his samurai sword, and swoosh! flourished his sword mightily.  However, the fly was still buzzing around.

 

In disappointment, the emperor said, "What kind of skill is that?  The fly isn't even dead."

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Any info on people that entered the country without inspection, no deportation returned with advance parole with no problem?

They are two different applications and are treated separately according to the manual. 

Phase I - IV - Completed the Immigration Journey
