I was at FLL  around April of this year and this former marine who was being loud and boisterous made me aware of someone who was being deported. He wasn't talking to me but instead, happened to meet a fellow ex marine and they started talking but he was talking 80% of the time. He then pointed to a guy sandwiched between two sheriffs, with the sheriff at the back carrying a brown envelope. He then said he used to accompany such people and that's how he knew the dude was being deported. I'm not sure how he was doing this yet he was a marine. But anyhow, that's how I knew how to spot a deportee.

BTW, they now have facial recognition system. I passed Bush (IAH) 2 weeks ago. The only thing the guy asked me was "are you a USC?" I said YES. I then fished out my PP but he was like "No, I don't need it. Just stand infront of the camera for me. I'm done. You can go." I was like "are you sure you got the right person?" He was like "yes, it's all in the system." 

 

I was really so shocked and started questioning the level of security and AI that this government has. We gotta be careful now. Hahaha

I saw the same thing at ATL a few months ago. Facial recognition scans at the gate right before boarding the flight leaving the US. I thought to myself, this is a low key kind of exit immigration system.

Global Entry is now fully facial

recognition. Freaked me pit the first time but .. not too many options !! My FBI file must be sooo thick by now anyway !

Yeah, it is very important to remember at large airports that you cannot run faster than the tram (no matter how long you are waiting for it), and in fact should not try to walk between concourses unless the tram is nonfunctional.

I've seen people healthily get out of plane, realize how far they have to go and suddenly need a wheelchair to help bypass TSA queue and straight to terminal. Saw this game at FLL.

It's not necessarily a game.  Some people may be under orders not to walk long distances, or be unable to.  Not all handicaps are visible.

Not arguing, but if that was the case, shouldn't they request this while booking?

They may need to see the distances involved, gauge how they feel, and estimate whether they can "make it."

They might not need a wheelchair at one airport but need it at another, and the booking sites don't think this granularly.

I got to ride on a buggy in an airport before. 

Fully able bodied... but the driver asked us if we wanted a lift as the walk to the next gate was long. 

Hong Kong airport usually has someone waiting at the gate to escort you to your next flight if you have a short layover. 

Always fun to by pass the lines...

Want to add: We refused at first but they told us there was enough room and it was okay. There were quite a few buggies and I'm sure it is a courtesy they provide to everyone... Some airports in Asia have amazing customer service!

And then who really needs it will not wait in line ?! sad action, it is better not to do this if there is no need
