Our case says ready, but we didn’t get any notification of action or invitation letter or instructions through email, I called Poland embassy and he said NVC should send out the instructions and the guy doesn’t even know what is package 3, I am not sure if I need pay the fees and schedule the interview, I just finished the DS160 forms, not sure if I need wait for the package 3 arrives in my fiancé home in Russia or just go ahead pay the fees and schedule the interview, I heard Warsaw embassy need you bring that package 3, also I can’t login to traveldocs account sometime

I called NVC and NVC said they just transfer the case to embassy and embassy will give the invitation letter, but when I call embassy, embassy said NVC will send the letter for Russian immigrants and the following is what I read from us embassy in Poland website

  • If you are a Russian immigrant visa applicant and have not yet received an appointment notice for an interview from the National Visa Center (NVC), when you are eligible NVC will send you an appointment notice for an interview at U.S. Embassy Warsaw (not U.S. Embassy Moscow).
    • Please contact NVC through the Ask NVC online contact form if you wish to inquire about your case status.
    • Please put your name and case number in the subject line to help aid swift processing (example: SMIRNOV, Mariya, MOS0001234567).  To further ensure processing as quickly as possible, please send only one inquiry.  We ask for your patience as NVC works through each inquiry.
    • If you have not yet received an NVC appointment notice, please do not contact U.S. Embassy Warsaw as we do not yet have your case.

That paragraph does not apply to you.  Your beneficiary (K-1)  is not an immigrant visa applicant.  NVC will not be involved in the interview scheduling process.  Your case (already sent to the consulate by NVC), including the interview, will be solely controlled at the embassy/consulate level.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

K-1s are handled at the consulate level by the Immigrant Visa unit.  However, NVC does NOT handle them as immigrant visas.  For a K-1, NVC only assigns a DOS number, then they send it to the consulate.  They do not schedule K-1 interviews.  K-1 scheduling is always done through the embassy/consulate.

I didn’t get any invitation letter or instructions from the immigrant visa unit yet, NVC send me a notification of action on May 10, do I need wait more time or call IV unit? Do you know the IV unit number?

I would email the consulate and ask. If NVC just sent the case, it might be too soon....but you can try.
