Best way to get Ukranian girlfriend to USA?

I've got another alternative plan here maybe you guys could help make more efficient.

Instead of Germany we were thinking Poland would be a good plan because its closer for her to travel to by train, and also it doesn't have corona rules still like Germany.

If we get engaged in Poland is there something we could do to speed the process up at the embassy there, or would I just have to start from scratch when I got back to the U.S. with the i-129f ?

If unmarried, it won't make a difference whether you go to Poland or not in terms of how to file or processing it faster. Being engaged is not an official status that the US recognizes. The embassies cannot accept directly filed I-129f petitions. So, if you were to apply directly at the embassy in Poland you'd have to be married already and file the I-130. This is because being married makes her an immediate family member. Being engaged does not.

On top of that, Poland is delayed at least six months, so even if you could DCF with Warsaw (providing you're married) that would not be a faster route most definitely. As millefleur said, being engaged conveys no legal benefits.

 

I'm interested as to why the corona rules are a problem. I've heard of unvaccinated people traveling by train from Poland to Germany without any issue; perhaps they were just 'lucky,' but I would be surprised if Germany is being strict on corona rules for Ukrainians...?

Anyways, I’m waiting for the portal to open today to see if that’s still a possibility. She’s in south east Ukraine so I still feel urgent about this.

I clipped this image from the checklist of what is required for i-131 application for travel document. Can anyone elaborate on what the third bullet point would consist of? Also, could the last bullet point be ignored because we haven't filed anything before?

To qualify you need to be Ukrainian and living in Ukraine before Feb 11th. Still not seen any mention of the portal.

Yeah, hopefully it's up soon.

if you haven't already seen, you can apply if you make an account in USCIS. apply online for an I-134 and it should show up as Uniting for Ukraine.

 

I just did mine for my partner. we're hoping it goes much faster than the regular I-131. 

 

if you already did an I-131 like we did, you can get a refund by withdrawing the application.

Under the question that says what your is relationship to the beneficiary there is no girlfriend option (as expected). So, I can select not specified, or do you think I could get away with fiancé? I'm thinking I should do not specified but I don't like how those sounds.

Also, there is no spot I see where I can add information about my parents and their finances. Only I can put stuff about dependents but I have none of course.
