Hello, can you please explain how you submitted this inquiry? is it following the out of processing request through the website when you check processing times?

Offocure, I actually submitted it using the local office website. When I checked their processing times and mine was past the processing time. I sent an inquiry using their website.

I'm honestly is at a loss.

A bit over 2 years ago me and my ex husband applied for an adjustment of status.
While waiting my husband started changing and started to abuse me mentaly and in the end physically.
I had to get out before who knows what would have happen.

I sent in my application for VAWA just a day ago but today I got my letter for my interview.
But this interview is for me and my ex husband.
I don't know who to contact or what to do.

Please, help me

Go to the interview alone, tell them you filed I-360 for VAWA, then send them a copy of the receipt notice when you get it. If you get it before the interview just bring it with you.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

Hi family, finally movement on my end. June 6 got a notice for request for additional evidence. Already did initial for good moral character end of 2020. Lawyer didn't get the letter yet, so I use my time to quietly freak out. Hoping for something easy like updated ID or something. Not mentally ready to open up wounds and dig in for good faith marriage, cohabitation and abuse. Any input from experience is much appreciated. What was your RFE and how you overcame it. Thanks, fam! Hope they are working on all of the 2020 and will push all the backlogged out as well asap.

Timeline so far:

2016 Marriage to USC, we did not file anything together.

July 2020 filed I-360, 485, 765, 131

Sept 2020 RFE GMC

Nov 2020 Bios for 485, 765, 131

Dec 2020 RFE received by USCIS

Feb 2021 Prima 1 year

Mar 2021 Reuse of bios for I-360

Dec 2021 Combo received valid for 2 years

Feb 2022 Second prima 6 month

June 6 2022 RFE (not received yet)

Good afternoon everyone!

After sending Vawa self petition, I have received a Prima Facie Determination Notice from USCIS, which grants the access to public benefits. The notice stays that it is valid for 1 year (has an expiration date). And states that the written notice will be sent once made a final decision.

Just wanted to ask the experienced members: is receiving such notice means I am on the right path?

Yes, it means that on first sight your application meets all the requirements. In time they will look deeper and verify stated information. They will notify you in writing if they need anything else from you. Buckle up, if all is good after some time you'll get nice and shiny approval. As for 1 year validity - do not be mislead that your application will be adjudicated in that time. (I hope you'll prove me wrong!) Most of us receive Prima facie automatically for a year followed by 6-month extentions. Some have to request primas, some don't get any at all. It is quite random. There is no limit how many primas you can receive. Good luck!

From a lousy motel computer, here is our Wednesday Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread joke:

MAKING TRACKS

Three blondes were arguing about a set of tracks.

"Those are rabbit tracks!" said one blonde.

"No -- those are moose tracks!" said the second blonde.

"You're both wrong!" said the third blonde.  "Those are bear tracks!"

They were still arguing when the train hit them.

Guys i really do not know how USCIS working? I do not know how they choose a case to work on it (EAD/AP)

I know few people waiting since October/November 2021 for their EAD/AP.

However, i personally know someone  who applied for EAD/AP in March this year and got approved yesterday. It is literally took 92 days for the approval.

So did it take almost 2 years for VAWA approval after getting C31?

At this point i would say inquire through your representative?
