How long it took to get the EAD card after approval?

Received the EAD card

Received SSN

Both issued on the same date, SSN says valid for work with DHS authorization (assuming it means EAD)

No movement on AP at all

They rcvd the RFE response on I-485 and since then nothing.

We really needed the AP more than EAD but I guess small victories.

Has anyone gotten AP? We’re supposed to cruise at the end of September but it’s starting to look like it’s not happening… 😩

I think that it’s a mistake that uscis decided to separate ead and ap so no more combo card (altho they are still given to some lucky ppl). They did this to somehow speed up ead process, but documents for both applications are same, so it just makes more sense to approve both at the same time.. ALOT of ppl want AP, and i know 3 ppl (and i bet there are way way more) that are trying to expedite their ap after approved ead, not even having the right reason. They are trying becasue they can and simply to try their luck, and this just increases the work uscis has to go through looking at these expedites, just to deny or approve them.

Anyways it sucks lol, i think that ead and ap shd be given automatically asap after paying aos fee. I understand waiting for aos and green card, but srsly ead/ap shd be given right away.

Lets see if they approved Quickly, I will keep posted.

Did you call them or used EMMA for AP expedite, I just had a chat with them they said they dont expedite AP, they will issue me an infopass appointment and for that they will mail or call me in 72 hours. Can you share your experience on AP expedite please and timelines that how it went.

I used EMMA and agent create expedite ticket, after 9 days later i received email from USCIS for proof of evidence, just faxed last week and pending decisions. I will keep you updated once I got response from USCIS.

What's the reason you used as a humanitarian reason? If I may ask.

They told us that they will call or email but so far nothing.

It looks like some people are getting the combo card (check out the April 2022 thread). We only got the EAD so far. I have no idea what they are doing...

I filed for my friend on June 2022, the moment she got her biometric, card was produced. Only ead though. Seems like hit or miss
