  1. Has anyone ever seen this before? They asked me for a marriage certificate in our rfe, so we sent one. I got a letter today with the marriage certificate being returned because they no longer need it as you have been naturalized. What??
  2. Compiling my evidence for my RFE. Am I able to just upload the evidence to the portal? There's a big button that says upload evidence. Would love to save paper and also time.
  3. Hi all! I got an RFE notice today regarding a copy of our marriage certificate, proof of ongoing relationship, and a medical form. Now my partner did the K1 medical, which was done I believe in October of 2021 and I just want to make sure we don’t have to pay for another one. This is what the notice said: Submit a completed Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. A USCIS civil surgeon must complete and sign the form, and you must also sign the form. If the civil surgeon refers you to a specialist, the specialist must include his or her medical exam results and complete the proper sections of the Form I-693 before the civil surgeon may sign the form. Once everyone has signed, the civil surgeon will place the completed Form I-693 in a sealed envelope and give it to you. You must submit the sealed envelope containing the original Form I-693 that the civil surgeon signed and the medical exam results; we will NOT accept photocopied Form I-693 and medical exam results. Civil surgeons must use the current Edition of Form I-693. You can find the current edition of Form I-693 on USCIS’s website at www.uscis.gov. In addition, the civil surgeon must ensure that all parts of Form I-693 were properly completed. Please Note: All Forms I-693 signed by civil surgeons on or after October 5, 2022 must use the 07/19/2022 edition of Form I-693. USCIS will not accept the 09/13/2021 version (or any previous editions) if the civil surgeon signed the Form I-693 after October 4, 2022. Therefore, the civil surgeon administering your immigration medical examination must complete and sign the 07/19/2022 edition of the Form I-693. Reminder: Effective October 1, 2021, applicants subject to the immigration medical examination must complete the COVID-19 vaccine series before the civil surgeon can complete an immigration medical examination and sign Form I-693. This applies to Form I-693 signed by civil surgeon on or after October 1, 2021. any thoughts?
  4. Any idea when the SSN will show up? It’s been 16 days since the combo card was delivered. I thought it was supposed to be just one week.
  5. Finally our EAD is being produced. Exactly a year and a day since I filed. No movement on the AP.
  6. Our date we can even inquire about our case isn’t until December of 2024. My local office says 21 months for AOS. But seriously at least give us AP & EAD we are also barely holding it together with a very elderly grandma back in Denmark.
  7. We ended up not being allowed to put my husband on the lease without an SSN. We got denied so many times because landlords couldn’t run a background check on him. It was very sad and frustrating but thankfully I qualified for everything on my own.
  8. Wow!! So they ARE working on cases. Part of me believes they just stopped processing lol.
  9. I agree. I'm going to be shocked if we get our EAD/SSN before the 1 year mark. Extremely disappointing and it's outrageous how this is normal.
  10. Wow! Did it just randomly show up or did your case get updated?
  11. Over 200 days since filing. We are starting to think we won’t be able to travel for our one year marriage anniversary and it’s getting a little frustrating. I would really love for him to have the right to drive at least in case something happens to me or our dog. This process is even worse than the wait for K1 honestly.
  12. So happy for all you guys getting your EAD! VJ estimates ours coming any day now with the latest ETA of Aug. 17th. AP looks like it could still take anywhere from next month through October. Hopefully we can travel for our wedding anniversary in December. OMG lol.
  13. 145 days and no update. I would really like to be able to file my dang taxes! At least need EAD & SSN. Ridiculous. I don't think I qualify for an expedite. So frustrating, just print the dang card!
  14. There’s some cases in LA that applied after me that already have their GC in hand. It’s so not fair, but such is life in American immigration.
  15. PD Jan 29th, 2022 Bio March 9th no updates. can I get an invite to the group chat?
  16. Good morning VJ! My husband and I are beginning to run into some issues. At least where I am, most rental homes want ALL adults 18+ to fill out an application and submit documentation for rental homes, so simply putting everything under my name only isn't possible. Plus I would love for both of us to be on the lease for our AOS interview since my bank is being difficult about adding him with no SSN. I am a USC and he is adjusting from K1 and we have been married almost 6 months already and our case appears to just be sitting in a pile since biometrics almost 3 months ago. I did not get him a SSN while his i-94 was valid, which is turning out to be a nightmare! I've offered to send over copies of our marriage certificate, our AOS NOA1 or notice of biometrics, or even his A number. The rental company does NOT want any of that. They want an American ID and SSN, period. Any advice from couples in a similar situation? We already gave our 60 day notice at our current place so I am a complete stress ball.
  17. 100 days since we filed at things appear to be at a standstill.
