Is it possible to add a DCF case to USCIS Account?

I am trying to add a DCF case from Frankfurt to the USCIS account. It keeps rejecting it by saying its an invalid case number.

 

Is this due to being a DCF? I would like to track the mailing of the green card.

I'm not sure it is even possible to track a Department Of State case number on the USCIS site.

It might be, DCF is sort of its own thing. USCIS is not really involved.

If you mean your children's cases, their DCF cases are now closed.  Why do you need green cards for them?  Their CBP entry stamps are proof that they were admitted as LPRs.  Now they are US citizens and don't need GCs.

I am filing a DCF and wondering, assuming the process is successful:

- How do I track the GC after POE?

- There is no US address now (I used a friend's in the forms), but when we move I'd like to change that to our address; how is it done with DCF? There is no USCIS site account...

The GC will go to the address you provide them with, so make sure it's a place you can trust.

When you pay the GC fee, you'll get a receipt number. You can track the card using that number here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

 

You can try to call USCIS and file an AR-11 address but I don't know if it'll be processed in time before the GC goes to the old address. You can also try updating your address with USPS and putting a new forwarding address and hope USPS forwards it to the new address. Best bet is to put down a mailing address on the forms that you can trust and go get the GC from in case it ends up there.

Where and when should the GC fee be requested and paid? I assume after the final interview at the embassy?

It's the very last step after everything else has been completed. Once you're approved and have the visa in hand, they'll give you instructions on how to pay the GC fee.

 

You pay it online, it's called the "immigrant fee" and there is more detailed info here:

It says that the GC will be mailed to address you provided to DoS during the interview stage but you can try to update your address with CBP when you enter:

I got confused because their case numbers starting with FRN didn't work at all. However, the IOE case number from their receipt worked perfectly. I just didn't know that.

Did you receive the GCs and did the IOE numbers show tracking for the GCs?

I don't think I will receive their GC as both kids derived their citizenship upon being admitted to the US.

DCF is not done through USCIS

I didn’t put 1 and 1 together. But as someone else pointed out, the IOE number mentioned on the receipt was the right one.

 

Oddly enough, we are receiving the GC in the mail in the newer few days.
