The travel bans are really a joke.  First, why not implement them immediately if this is such an issue, what is required of those that do actually come back from these areas such as USCs or LPRs or IRs with a visa, and of course all the others just have to find their way to Mexico and come across.

I think it does not apply to USC and LPR. I could be wrong

No, it does not apply to USCs or LPRs, but what happens to those folks when they come back potentially carrying the virus?  I know they have to present a negative Covid test to come back, but we all know how accurate that test is and how beneficial it is.  I know a guy that came back from the Ukraine a few weeks ago, negative tests prior to flying in, then tested positive for Covid after getting home.  He said he wouldn't have even gotten tested again except he lost his sense of taste and smell.

It does make logical sense.  Most viruses try their best to stay alive.  It really does no good to mutate and keep killing off their hosts.  Of course this is a lab engineered virus, so maybe it does not follow the normal evolution, maybe Fauci will tell us.
