I-551 Stamp and travel the first 4 months

Once my husband gets his I-551 stamp, is he allowed to travel back and forth from the states?  He has to put in 90 days notice for his work contract.  And he would like to be able to visit two times during the wait for the final move.

We entered on a sunday and were back on the Mexican beach friday.   There are people who enter just to activate the physical green card process and then return to their home country to wrap up things.

Hello,

we have DV US visa and  machine-readable immigrant visa (MRIV) with the following text on it: “UPON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCING PERMANENT RESIDENCE FOR 1 YEAR.”on our visa .While we wait on the green card (which might take up to 120 days) we want to visit some family in Canada(We will be travelling by car). So my question is "will we be able to travel Canada with I-551 stamp (Iranian passport) or do we need a visa to travel to Canada?"

You can travel anywhere subject to that country's requirements for a US green card holder.

Here is a link to Canada's Visa requirements. I think there are considerations with COVID too.

Yes. I'm traveling regularly between the US and Canada using my I-551 stamp endorsed Immigrant Visa. No trips to secondary or anything like that.

Sorry I have a question regarding the I 155 Stamp. my friend is coming on approved i130 visa next month,  and he has to go back to finish work stuff in his origin country,  can he get the stamp at the airport? and which POE has the stamp.
