  • Copy of your government-issued identity document with photograph;
  • Copy of your passport page with nonimmigrant visa;
  • Copy of your passport page with your admission or parole stamp (issued by a U.S. immigration officer);
  • Copy of Form I-94, Arrival/Departure Record or copy of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) admission or parole stamp on the travel document (if applicable)

The above extract is from the USCIS website under what to submit for I-485.

The last 3 are pretty clear, but regarding the "Copy of your government-issued identity document with photograph" is this just asking for passport and would it be the bio pages or the entire passport? I am PR holder of Canada, now in the US on K1, hope I do not have to provide any documents like PR card of Canada for this particular item.

Kindly assist.

It asks for copies, so you can also include a photocopy of your Canada PR card, not the card itself.

Regarding applicant/beneficiary birth certificate that is to be provided for AOS filling:

- My birth certificate has both English and native language on it. I did not provide any translation during my K-1 consulate interview and it was accepted. Should the same work even for AOS filling as well, hope I do not have to get any translation for such a document which is already in English and other language combined. Please advise.
