My visa is issued!!! OMG!

It was issued in AP since yesterday, and final processing today. Exactly 6 weeks after my interview, and 5 after my medical.

Congrats!!! Good luck with your future journey!

Our case was updated today, but still refused- I wonder how long it takes to stamp a passport? Imaging C.O. hovering the stamp 1ft above and slowly lowering...

“Ah yes we know they are refreshing CEAC site every 5 mins. Let’s make them more miserable” probably a CO 😭🤣

This is probably a weird thing to bring up here but I genuinely believe in the power of the universe lol (not religious btw). Write down what you want, forget about it and let the universe take the wheel. I stopped checking the updates on CEAC regularly, just once a week and voila!

Seriously rooting for all of you! Please don't lose hope, you'll be reunited with your loved ones soon!

Could be trolls. Then again, and this was unbelievable to me, a friend of mine, a girl who i know IRL, who is USC filed for petitions (i-130 and I-129F, just following that old theory that filing for K visas would speed it up) for husband and kid like barely a month ago... and they already were approved. Well, my I-130 alone was 9 or 10 months to approval. I don't know what to say anymore.

From what I gather on the spreadsheet, most of whom have been approved were those who needed to provide a document, namely the medical. Has anyone in this group sued, or has everyone just waited?

Not really the case, but I also don't think they can be compared. Those with a late medical/other doc. are not usually asked to fill out DS5535. With a late document, Montreal will normally say it takes a certain number of weeks and the processing should mainly be happening at the consulate. With DS5535, there's no timeline and god knows where the case is handled. To date though, we've had about 8 DS5535 approvals and 9 late document approvals. The late documents do get processed a lot faster as I'm assuming there are no background checks being completed.
