Hi everyone,

we filed the I129F on December 2020, got the NOA1 in february.

we did not receive any USCIS NOA2 to inform us that the document was approved.

we received directly the letter from NVC with our case number on August 31 2021 telling that they would forward the case to the embassy in Naples, Italy in several weeks.

Its middle of October and I did not receive any email or letter from the embassyin Naples telling me that they received the case.

In the meantime I already collected all documents and Ds160 filed.

On the CEAC status it shows as NO STATUS.

Can anyone help? Do you know if currently they are processing k1 visas in Naples?

MARCO the fact is that the embassy tells me that I have to wait for their email or letter every time I call them. So I don't know what to do, I feel If I wait is just going to waste time.

Did you schedule the appointment without their letter? Text me in private thanks

You need to call the NVC to get your case number that will start with NPL2021...

Then you should check on the ceac website the status of this number under the section immigrant visa status

When the status change from at nvc to in transit it means it has been shipped, when it changes from in transit to ready then you can book your appointment online

It's mandatory to provide the USCIS approval notice to the US consulate during the interview? Because we did not receive it and we want to understand if we actually need it for this interview. The USCIS told us that we can wait to arrive instead of paying 400 dollars for a copy if the US consulate doesn't need it.

Also in the packet 3 of the interview documents the approval notice form is not listed.

Help please

I never seen this in the requirements. Why should you submit this? If it was not approved it would not even reach the NVC nor the consulate.

If the application status is ready it means that you can proceed to the interview.

This approval is not listed in packet 3, so forget about it

Hey @Deborah Serafino how did you resolve this in the end? Did you successfully have an interview?

I submitted DS-160 on September 22nd but have not heard anything back. Now we're exactly 2 months after submitting and heard nothing from Naples... No letter, no email, no packet 3. CEAC NPL number says ready. CEAC AA DS-160 status still says 'no status'.

I too didn't receive NOA2, but a couple of weeks later (2nd week of September) I received the letter from the NVC saying that it's being transferred to Naples.

HI once your case status switch to Ready you can pay the 265$ and get your appointment. you should receive an email from consulate saying that we receive your case and then after few weeks again the consulate send you the instructions called pocket 3 which includes information regarding the address of medical center and consulate and the papers you need to take with yourself to the consulate .

Yes so, it's all normal once the NPL number switch to READY, go to the website and schedule your interview with consulate and pay the fee. You don't need to present NOA2, neither packet 3.

You can find packet 3 online it's a document to download telling you what documents to bring to the interview

Hey Deborah. After reading your previous chain of message and replies I realised I'd been waiting around like a lemon for the Consulate email me. The info around the internet isn't all that clear, especially when it says before booking that you need to bring the Consulate invite for booking the interview, but the info in packet 3 online is super clear to book the appointment immediately after collecting all the documents. However, even though I might be 2 months late, my interview is booked for next Wednesday :)

Hi! My case is approved on 4th nov from USCIS, we’ve got our case number by telephone and nt yet got welcome letter from nvc. Online it says at nvc. Can i alteady fill DS-160 form or i have to wait? Moreover my passport is going to expire in Sept 2022, i’m scared if i didnt get my interview dates untill March, it would be less than 6 months validity. Can someone suggest me if i should renew my passport now as it took 2 months to get new or i would be able to get my interview date before march? Thankyou
