Why is my case status not changing to approved when In the documents the approval notice is there. Im confused and anxious. How will I know when to receive the mail? Approval notice? It says october 4 on the notice so is this when my case got approved basically

The online statuses don't always update when they should. Is the notice you're mentioning an email?

There is no way of knowing how long the nvc stage is. The approval you posted is a pdf. Are you able to open or download it?

Yes its a letter with my name and my husbands and says approval notice with some information how it will go to nvc & blah. ?

They've approved your petition and it will now go to NVC where they will schedule your interview. I can't say how long it will take. Follow whatever directions you're given. Maybe, you can find some information here: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/83-national-visa-center-dept-of-state/

also, if you go to the portal for your country here, you can see what others are experiencing. https://www.visajourney.com/portals/

Hi Duaus,

If I understand correctly, you've just gotten your USCIS approval for the I-130. If anything like my case, you should expect to get email notification once NVC has created your case. You will then need to complete all of the Civil and AOS related documentation submissions, DS-260, etc. in the NVC CEAC system. Once you "SUBMIT" the last of your required documents, that date can be considered your submission date.

You can then monitor NVC progress on general case handling here (general timeframes) and can view specific information on your case here (as well as in the CEAC system where you can monitor your inbox for communications based on NVC review).

Beyond that you're largely at the mercy of NVC's process which can be quite slow and cumbersome. If you get an RFE during that stage, you might get quick action if you upload what they request or you might have to wait until your "submission date" comes up. We're currently waiting for our "submission date" to come up on their review time frame and hopefully then get our last document accepted and our case changed to DQ.

Good luck in the upcoming process and I certainly encourage you to scour the forums to make learn what others are experiencing. The biggest things I can recommend are to respond promptly with exactly what they're asking for and to be incredibly patient as you wait for NVC's review and actions. We were impacted by the system error in June which added weeks to our initial review time followed by what seems to be a massive slow down in case reviews. For a while, only making progress on one day of submissions in a week. Now we're back to about 5 days of submissions being handled in a week. Hoping it continues in this positive direction.

Thank you so much, so what I understand is basically you have to submit everything all at once before they start reviewing it, they won’t check while you keep uploading them. Also what do they exactly ask for there is so much information do we send everything and only online? Or mail it? How long after did u get the email from nvc and how long has it been for you guys since its been to nvc stage. On the time frame it says they r working on people from july or September I believe so is that bad? So basically it depends on how faster you do it?  I still haven’t gotten a copy of my approval in the mail but have a document pdf in my uscis website and the status is still under actively reviewed.

Do not be surprised when the case disappears from USCIS site as it now has been sent to NVC and USCIS will no longer have info

give it a month for NVC to respond with new case # for your embassy

then follow the instructions for paying the 2 fees and completing documents DS 260 and AOS with supporting evidence

then you can check status on CEAC site

yours will be immigrant status
