Hi,

I am currently completing my I-751 form and I have two questions"

1. To prove that we did our taxes for last year, is it enough to print out the document found on turbo tax? If so, do I print out all 50+ pages or just the ones that are filled out/have our names. And is this enough to prove it? For some reason I'm unable to print out a tax transcript on the IRS website and I'm nervous that the turbo tax document won't be enough...

2. Is the USCIS pretty backed up at this time? My 2 year GC expires Nov. 24th 2021. I'm basically sending in my form 3 months early as I heard we should, but I'm worried I should've sent it even earlier.

Thank you!

If it's a joint petition (i.e. you are still married) then do NOT send it earlier than 08/26/2021. 8 CFR 216.4(a) is explicitly clear: "Within the 90-day period immediately preceding the second anniversary of the date on which the alien obtained permanent residence..."

If USCIS receives your I-751 package even one day before the 90 day window opens , it will be rejected.   I would not send it until after the 90 day window opens.

3 months is incorrect. 90 days is correct. 3 months is not the same as 90 days.

Don't be.

You need to follow https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-calculator-for-form-i-751-filing-jointly-with-your-spouse . Based on that, and the date you gave in your OP,  you must NOT send it any earlier than August 26, 2021.  See

for an example of what happens when it is sent too early.

And do not sent it any later than November 24, 2021.

I believe (and am in the minority) that you should send it on August 26, 2021.  The majority will advise you to send it sometime in September, 2021.

No one has addressed your first question yet...

*IF* you cannot get the transcript then you need to send your WHOLE tax return (which includes schedules, W-9s, 1099s, etc.  They prefer transcripts, but sometimes you just can't get them in time.

Also, if you owed any money, send a copy of the check you sent to pay your taxes.

Best of luck to you!

You can get the IRS transcripts online and can be downloaded instantaneously. Also, by mail takes only 5-10 days and the OP clearly has time based on the responses from the community.
