How much time do I have after my mom I-130 approval to contacting the NVC and pay the fee?

What is the process and if anyone has any directions or advise?

You have around 1 year to do so.

 

 

Spouse:

2015-06-16: I-130 Sent

2015-08-17: I-130 approved

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

2016-07-05: Received IV invoice, IV Fee Paid

2016-07-06: DS-260 Submitted

2016-07-07: AOS and IV Package mailed

2016-07-08: NVC Scan

2016-08-08: Case Complete

2017-06-30: Interview, approved

2017-07-04: Visa in hand

2017-08-01: Entry to US

NVC usually sends an email to you in a month or so after i130 approval for the next steps. If not call them and inquire about it. In the mean time you can have your i864, copies (or scans) of her police certificate and birth certificate handy.

Spouse:

2015-06-16: I-130 Sent

2015-08-17: I-130 approved

2015-09-23: NVC received file

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

2016-07-05: Received IV invoice, IV Fee Paid

2016-07-06: DS-260 Submitted

2016-07-07: AOS and IV Package mailed

2016-07-08: NVC Scan

2016-08-08: Case Complete

2017-06-30: Interview, approved

2017-07-04: Visa in hand

2017-08-01: Entry to US

I-864 is the Financial Sponsorship agreement with the Federal Government.   She, like all intending immigrants, will need a police clearance certificate.

You might want to review the guides here in the blue bar on the top of every page.   Look at the spousal visa.  The only difference is not needing the I-130A,

 

Hope you have realized the costs of bringing a parent to the US, especially the healthcare costs.

July 14, 2020 Removal of Conditions submitted by mail  July 12, 2021 Biometrics Completed

August 6, 2021 N-400 submitted by mail

September 7, 2021 I-751 Interview, Sept 8 Approved and Card Being Produced

October 21, 2021 N-400 Biometrics Completed  

November 30,2021  Interview, Approval and Oath

December 10, 2021 US Passport Issued

August 12, 2022 PHL Dual Nationality Re-established & Passport Approved 

April 6,2023 Legally Separated - Oh well

So you guys know how long it may take form the time of NYV center till the actual visa?

@Paul & Mary meant you can use that guideline, ignore i130/i130a part since uscis part is done, look thru after i130 approved part for related information.

NVC itself may take 2 months or more. Then depending on the embassy backlogs (due to covid) where your mother gets interviewed, it could be within 2 months or more than 7-8 months.

please do a timeline and update yours as u are not removing conditions but are a citizen

knowing things without reading past posts makes it so much easier and faster to answer  your quesitons
