My husband applied for Spouse Visa Form I-130 in October 2020, my last day to receive the response was May 22nd but I didnt get any response.

My question is if I apply for a visit visa to visit my husband, will it effect on my application? also anyone has any idea will I get the visit visa?

thank you

You can expect 12-18 months minimum from submission of the I-130 to having a visa in hand.   It could take a couple years (especially from Pakistan).  Yes, having a spouse in the US can certainly affect the chances of obtaining a tourist visa.......but you are free to apply if you have $160.00 to possibly lose.  Your chances of obtaining a tourist visa from Pakistan are not good, imo.  Good luck.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Nobody knows if you get a visit visa and no, it won't affect your current case.

YMMV

There’s nothing wrong applying for visit visa for him but check from the embassy website first. Some embassies have stop issuing tourist visas because they are having a lot of back log due to covid

There is a little chance that your visit visa gonna approve bcz in visit visa the main concern is whether u will come back to pak or not & hence ur I-130 is already applied so there’s clear evidence that u will not come back, they assume that u gonna file adjustment of status while ur visit in USA.

2nd thing if u apply visit visa now ur interview gonna be in Dec or jan2022 bcz of the huge backlog.

best advice is to be patient!
