Do you have to repeat biometrics if you already did it fr the K1?

Hello,

 

My husband came on a K1 a few years ago, we got married, he got his card and now it is expiring within 90 days so we are going through with the Form i-751.

He already did biometrics and got finger printed when he first came here. This form is telling us to include a $85 charge for biometrics that is non refundable. Would we have to include this? Do they usually perform 2 biometrics?

Even if biometrics are waived, you must pay the $85 fee.

If you do not include the fee, your packet will be rejected.

You have to pay the $85....period....it is not refundable.

Based on current trend, the 2nd biometric will be waived but as others have indicated you must pay the $85 fee or face rejection.

they do biometrics at each step of the process

you will do them each time to prove you are who you say you are right up to and including when the naturalization is applied for
