Update: I just went to submit a case inquiry and noticed that the processing times have changed. Though still 6-8 months, you now have to be before March 13th to submit an inquiry; … Perhaps we're not all that delayed after all.

At one point for either the December or January group (I forget which) they were keeping track and had something like 100 cases changing per day. I would LOVE to see that kind of movement soon! They’ll never catch up to a reasonable wait time if they only make it through 30-40 per day while they receive somewhere around 100+ per day at the lockbox (that’s a rough guess number based off of most months having around 3000 cases in a 30 day period).

Though still 6-8 months, you now have to be before March 13th to submit an inquiry; yesterday it was March 18th and thus I was going to submit mine today. So that's of note, someone is aware they're taking longer than expected, but this delay is not enough for them to abandon the 6-8 month timing. Perhaps we're not all that delayed after all.

I myself am march 19th...it was at march 18th for an inquiry last night....

I have been excited to see the march 19th inquiry date arrive, i dont know why, because i have accepted reality, that i will in fact wait much longer.

But the cruel nonsensical bureaucracy that is the US immigration system would not even let me have that small insignificant joy,

I check to see the 19th inquiry date today and also see that it is now March 13th for an inquiry

What silent horror that was for me. I imagine many people have inquired and they are backed up.

Not much to do now but put on a smile and wait until Mr. Gov says its my turn, I am one happy camper

I am March 18th NOA1, but my understanding is that you can only submit the inquiry if you are the day after what's listed on the site, so I waited until today. I know your feelings, but if it makes anything any better, the only thing we would've gotten is a generic email stating they're working as quickly as possible. At least, waiting another five days for the updated times gives us a slightly better chance at hearing something different. Don't worry about it too much, they're working heavily on end-of-February (and early March it seems), we know it's backed up and they probably couldn't tell us anything more than we already know.

Hello.  Did you send a request from the March registers or maybe they called USCIS?

Some March filers have managed to submit inquiries, not sure if they got responses yet. Yesterday at least one (early) March filer was approved; they have indeed started with us. Case date for inquiry is now the 14th, despite it being the 18th a few days ago.

Hi everyone! I’ve been lurking here but not writing. Just wanted to let everyone know that I submitted an Outside Normal Processing Times request on 11/01/2021 for my case (NOA1 on 03/09/2021). I got a response today 11/12/2021 of:

On 11/01/2021, you contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) about your I-129F because you believe your case is outside normal processing times. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Thank you for your inquiry. We recognize your interest in the final adjudication of your pending petition and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. We regret we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will review your case but the California Service Center is committed to processing this workload. We will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in the most efficient manner based on our available resources. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Hopefully this is helpful to some people. It sounds like they haven’t even started looking at the case but I’m hoping we all hear something soon.

March 1st here officially according to the case tracker on USCIS, so hoping to hear good news any day now 😂 We haven't submitted an inquiry, but based on the response to inquiries some have gotten, it may not really help much I guess. Just checking that email every day 😁

*twiddles thumbs* Did we actually get forgotten about? :( It's so unbelievably disheartening that at the very end we've been slapped with another 2 months of waiting, if we're lucky.

If you are outside normal processing times you can also put your inquiry to OMBUDSMAN....https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance

FYI, ombudsman will only be able to assist if it’s 60+ days outside of normal processing time.

Is there a specific time in which we may submit an inquiry to our representative? I'm aware that their intervention can't really do much, but my fear is a repeat of what happened a few days ago; i.e., the inquiry date moving to March 18th and then reverting 5 days prior, preventing March 18th filers and beyond from ever being 'outside normal processing time'. I feel like it's at least worth a contact to let people know the March filers have been effectively stalled, I wouldn't be this disheartened if it wasn't for literally all of us being just let off here without a clue...

Feb filer here! Just checking on where March is at. I have a feeling they will change the estimated time to much longer, as now it’s clear that to catch up they will need to move much, much faster. :(

Hello everyone,

I'm March 1 filer. I have not receieved my noa2. I submitted an outside normal processing times inquiry online on October 29 and this is the response I received from USCIS on November 8.

On 10/29/2021, you contacted USCIS concerning your I-129F to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

The processing of your I-129F is within our current processing time. Please see our Web site at www.uscis.gov for processing times.
We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience.

It's disheartening to see they haven't processed March 1 filers. I'm hopeful and waiting any day now I'll get my noa2.

So to be abundantly clear: we can only submit an inquiry when our NOA1 received date is the day before the date listed on USCIS' processing times, and not the same day, correct? After what happened last week, I just want to get one in already.

I'm also thinking it's necessary to contact our representatives, not in hopes of having things moving along, but just to make it abundantly clear that processing has stopped entirely. It's not even that they're going back and catching up on old dates, it's just stopped. I agree with everyone, not only is it really disheartening, but it's really unfair they chose to do this to all of us without updating times or having a reason why.

Yes, I believe it’s same day. Processing hasn’t stopped though - last Wednesday they processed 60+ cases. They are just behind in their stated processing times ie. my NOA1 is Feb 26 and going by their times I should have my NOA2 by now but I don’t. They are going back and processing early Feb cases, like Feb 1 filers. It is very disheartening but hopefully they manage to catch up in the coming weeks, or else the average wait will be 8 months plus
