This just happened with my wife's I-751. I miscalculated the fee so they rejected the application, and by the time we received it back again on March 10 her green card had expired. I sent it back on the same day with the correct amount and a cover letter explaining what happened. The check was cashed today and we were notified that they've accepted the new application. Presumably the usual NOA is coming in the mail soon (fingers crossed). Hopefully it will be the same for you.

I've got text message on April 3rd, bank shows check was cashed on the 2nd. NOA postage date was also April 2nd, but actual NOA date is 31th March. Looks like they backdated it a bit or that is the normal process and they opened the package on 31th of March

I just got my package back return with an i-797C Notice of Action - because "the application/petition was filed on an outdated version of this form. Please resubmit your application/petition on the current version of this form with the appropriate feesnto the address listed on the bottom of this page."

 

Please correct me if I am wrong, I got this form from the i-751 pages under forms and the current date they have on there is for 12/31/2019? I just looked again to make sure and that is the one I am still currently seeing. Please help if anyone has any other information!
