How Long to get NOA2 notice email after approval

We received our approval for i130 on Thursday at around 2pm. It showed as such online and on our account. However unlike NOA1, when we received an email notice immediately after we submitted, we haven’t received NOA2 notice by email yet.

We need this email notice to apply for Singapore COC (Police Clearance). That takes about 70 to 90 days to obtain when outside the country, and so I want to get on it ASAP.

How Long does it typically take to get the NOA2 notice by email after approval. Is there anyway to hurry it?

Do they send NAO2s by email now?

Well that's concerning, because I need the document as proof to obtain my Singapore Police clearance.

Did you sign up for email notifications from USCIS...AFTER...your emailed receipt notice?  If you didn't, you won't get an email notice of approval.  You can use your first notice from NVC to get your Singapore Police Clearance.  NVC...WILL...email you.

Hi.  Do you mean you haven't received the welcome letter from NVC?  I also recently got approved by USCIS on Feb.10th and received the welcome letter by e-mail from NVC on 13th and that's what I would need to get the police record for myself as well.  It's a 3 day weekend in the US now(Presidents' Day) so it might be taking a little longer for you.

You can log in to your "my.uscis.gov" account and get a copy of the approval notice under the "Documents" tab if that works for you.

We filed online, and no we didn’t sign up for email notifications AFTER emailed NOA1.

I think I vaguely remember checking some box when filing online to ask to be contacted via email. We didn’t know we needed to sign up for it once Again after NOA1.

No, I was not referring to the NVC welcome letter. I was asking about NOA2 notice (From USCIS).

The welcome letter from NVC would work for my Singapore PC application, but I was expecting the NOA2 to come well before the welcome letter.

I am happy to hear you received your welcome letter so quickly, because I have heard it can take 6-8 weeks for that to happen once i130 is approved. Congratulations and hope the rest of your process goes just as speedily.

We have checked this tab. There is no notice of approval there. The file Status shows as approved though.

Well, now that I think of it, we technically haven't received ''NOA2'' or any other notice from USCIS either.  I always thought USCIS would e-mail the petitioner(my husband) when they change the case status for any reason but they never have (even when they sent him RFE.) We always voluntarily had to log into our account online and find out what was going on.   Nothing was in our account inbox or anywhere.  This time he found the case was approved that day and the next day they changed the status to ''Case was sent to the department of state'' then another day after, NVC sent both me and my husband the welcome letter.  I don't know, maybe that's just how they are lol  Try not to be too concerned about it.  I'm pretty sure NVC will contact you very soon.  Thank you for your kind words.  Good luck to you as well.

Just wanted to update you we received the welcome email from NVC :)

So I suppose we don't need teh NOA2 notice anymore. So happy for all of us that things appear to be moving faster (atleast with file transfer) on the part of Nebraska service center and NVC
