Hey there,

Thank you so much for creating this thread! It's nice to hear we are not alone on this long and time-consuming process.

My application got to the LockBox by the last week of February, just enough for be part of this thread 🙂

I made a brief Google Sheet to keep track of my status and added some of you in these thread. It would be great, if you guys want to update it.

Here's the link:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15YQKUoKwjybGsrOIcyMjWEq0kbOTJF0iyFxVn1ymqEU/edit#gid=0

I initially included your usernames for reference, but feel free to change/delete your usernames or anything you want.  The idea is to use this to have a better sense of how long things might take each one of us along the process.

Cheers!

We made it just under the wire for this thread too, with our application arriving to the Chicago lockbox on 2/26. Please feel free to add our data-point to the document!

Checking in here since not much is happening in 1/2021 thread.

Sent packet 1/29. Received at lockbox 1/31.

Yesterday they FINALLY cashed the check. Still no NOA1 but I assume it's coming soon.

Thanks econtom. I just did. I also updated with some Jan filers. It seems that it's hard to tell with such small sample, but it seems that if things go the way things went in January, we might wait a month until they take our money away. A few more days to feel 2k richer than, looking for the silver lining 🙂

Update and a question.

Finally received a text notice this evening with a receipt number. When I checked it, it was only for Employment Authorization. I sent AOS as a whole package - including adjustment of status, EAD, and AP.

Will I get other receipts?

Yes for each case you'll get a number!

How does one get a text with this "receipt number"?  Is this akin to an NOA1 via text?  Please explain so we can try to get this service when we file next week.  Thanks!!

Fill out the G-1145 form and include one for each of the forms in your packet (for example, I sent 3 G-1145s - 1 with the 485, 1 with the 131, 1 with the 765). I got 3 texts with 3 receipt numbers for each of my applications.

Thank you! (I doubt I would have thought to fill out 3)

Sadly we filled one out with our I-129F and never got an email or text or anything.  Glad to hear it worked for your AoS documents.

Unfortunately a lot of folks have reported hit or miss results with getting texts. I never got any texts beyond the initial receipt with my 129F, but others did.

The G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance is at best hit and miss, but as stated submit this form for each of the forms you submit.
