Hi,

Me and my fiance met last year during the pandemic - I'm in London he's in US. We met once so far (November) as british citizens are not allowed to travel to US. During his first visit he had to quarantine for 14 days so we only managed to take few photos at home (roughly 5). We can provide chat history, face time logs. He's visiting again in February and we are planning to gather more evidence. Will what we have be enough to submit the application and continue collecting evidence if necessary to provide later on? Thanks

You need to provide evidence of meeting ONCE within previous two years,  evidence of a relationship is not required.    Chats, emails, FaceTime and photos don't get it done.   Boarding passes,  passport entry stamps, etc.. is what they want to see

YMMV

USCIS is looking for the evidence to be boarding passes, passport entry stamps, hotel receipts, flight itinerary and photos together (the strongest evidence when submitting photos is to take them in front of historical landmarks that the IO may recognize). Do not rely solely on photos as they can be doctored with today's technology.

Well you definitely met the meeting requirement:  meeting once within 2 years.  If you can scrape up a few more pictures would be great.  As mentioned before, evidence like boarding passes, passport stamps, and hotel receipts proven to be very beneficial.

Hi Ed,

Thanks for your input. He didn't keep the boarding pass I think at this point we weren't really thinking about collecting evidence. He does have a stamp in his passport, which I assume should be more than enough to prove we physically met. If it comes to the photos I am worried it's not enough, he had to quarantine whole time he was in London so we didn't get to go out and all the photos we have were taken at home. He will visit me again Feb 16th, feels like ages away.

We have 5 photos which apparently is enough. We obviously want to submit the application as soon as possible so we can be together, but at the same time be 100% sure there won't be any issues along the way.

Photos are secondary evidence, and are not necessary for low-fraud embassies such as London.  As you've been told here, passport stamps and boarding passes are primary evidence.  Make sure he keeps his next boarding pass.
