Filed a police report

Something was stolen from me so I filed a police report at the police department and they gave me a receipt with the number. I wonder if I also should follow up and ask for a report

 

I’m the victim so do you think this can show up in my background check ? And if so is it my responsibility at the N400 interview to show such a report or the receipt is enough?

You are way overthinking things here. Since this has nothing to do with a crime that you committed you are good to go. You are the victim not the preparator
