I have a question is this enough emergency to get my fiancé an interview? I have all my hospital papers with me.

please cause I need him with right now I’m in so much pain and I only have my daughter with me she’s 14. Please help!! 😔

All you can do is try - it seems that your case is already at the embassy? You can email them with all documentation and ask if they can expedite his interview, and also mention that his medical will expire in very early September.

Good luck!

Why not? Everyone requests an expedite these days.

I just called the U.S. Embassy in Haiti, they told it’s not going to be possible to get an expedite interview because the embassy is not taking any cases at this moment. I feel so sad, it’s been 16 months. Nothing!  I want him here with us.

I told them about that medical will expire in September they just apologized. I think I will have to pay for another medical. Man!

Unfortunately, there is nothing more you can do. If the embassy is not accepting cases then there can't be anything done. They can't be forced to accept your case with everything that is going on. This Covid has thrown a wrench in everything. It is unfortunate but all you can do try to keep in contact with them to see when they will start back receiving cases and doing interviews.

Slightly off topic but I'm in a F2A group where folks want to request expedites now (knowing the category is banned) to get on top of the waiting list when processing resumes. Can you believe it?!

I'm sorry to hear. Most embassies are giving preference to spouse visas once they resume limited processing. I wish you all the best, and speedy recovery!

yes the embassy is closed until the covid is over which is crazy to me it's only open for us citizens living over there and yes another police report and medical will have to be done. my husband and i were sick to our stomachs learning of this. I wish you a fast recovery

Hello Guys,

here’s a follow  up with my case. The embassy in Haiti 🇭🇹 call my fiancé in Haiti on the 21st of October one ☝️ day after my birthday 🥳, I was in Haiti for two weeks with him. I spoke to them, they sent him to red-do the medical report with an interview date which was the 16th of this month. (When I got Haïti I did call them like twice a day to let them know I’m here I would love to have an interview date)

He went to his interview, the CO asked him about 2 questions. How we met? And what’s my child’s name? That’s all. Congratulations, you are approved he said, but he asked for my divorce papers which I know They got it. My fiancé told him we sent them with everything else he has in hand. Nope, can’t find them. Thank God! I have them save on my Google Drive 🙌. He gave him a g221 paper to bring them on Friday the 20th. The ceac status changed from “Ready” to”Refused” i was confused 🤷‍♀️ and heart broken 😞.  I was ok that’s weird! On Friday my fiancé took the papers to them. It was a long line of people please, don’t do like my fiancé and go deposit papers at 8am go earlier then that. The lady took the papers and asked for the passport and said pick them up next week. At 2pm that day status changed from “Refused” to “application received” on both the IV and NIV. Monday the 23th the status stayed the same but the update date changed from 20th to the 23th that was a good sign. 24th woke up checked the status it changed from Application received to administration processing. At 3pm it changed again to issued!!!!!! God is good 😌 all the time I been waiting for this day for 18months. Please don’t discourage, be patient, pray, get everything ready and be PERSISTENT! Keep on calling them send all you papers, follow me if you need advice and help.

thank you 🙏 vj. See you on my next step.
