Hello Everyone,

I sent my application today and to my surprise I was charged 725 USD.
I was expecting to be charged 1100 USD due to the rate increase so I hope that is not a problem, but it was what the system gave me.

I submitted:

-marriage certificate

-my greencard both sides

-passport of US citizen (my husband)

-driver licenses of both of us

-cars insurance

-IRS transcripts for the last 3 years married filling jointly

-apt lease

- just a couple of bills

I filled using chrome and apparently didn't have any issues. I hope everything goes smoothly. My closest office is Newark, so I guess I will have the interview there, if I don't move to PA before.

Quick question, where are you guys seeing those estimated dates for background check, biometrics and approval?

Thanks,

I'm not sure how everyone is able to submit their application. I've been trying for over 10 days on Chrome, Firefox and IE-11 but my draft is never saved with the evidence I upload.

I keep on seeing the error: "Encountered an unexpected error retrieving draft evidence."

Is there a particular time of the day everyone submits their application OR am I uploading too much evidence that the system gives up?

Here is what I upload:

Evidences about marriage (3 years)

  • 2 Individual Checking account statements for each
  • 2 Joint Credit card statements
  • 2 Individual Saving accounts statements for each
  • Mortgage and Lease statements
  • Joint Insurance Policies - Auto/Health/Home
  • Tax Transcripts
  • 401k

Additional List of evidence:

  • Costco membership
  • Drivers License
  • Joint Credit Card Scans
  • Student loan and tuition payment statements
  • Travel Photos

I would suggest checking the size of your evidence document - i could be wrong. When I did my mom's other filing, i kept getting "unexpected error", even after it accepted my documents. The file limit on that case is 6mb, my file was 5.6mb, and for some reason it wouldn't take it. Then i reduced to 4mb and everything went through.

Also i called them the day i got that error. they have a technical support team, but sounds like in India. wasn't much help but you can give it a shot.

Good luck!

I tired uploading 1 document in each section just to get to the next page, but it still gave me the same error.
Also, Maximum size: 6MB per file as per the USCIS website

How is everyone figuring out their respective processing office (e.g. Denver, Atlanta, MSP-St.Paul)? Is it just that is where your GC application was processed? or is there a regional service map? or something else?

My receipt (only communications I have since submission) says National Benefits Center and an estimated case completion time of April 2021.

I see.. When did you try to do so? looking at their outage website, it seems they have a maintenance going on until tomorrow morning. though it says starting tonight..

The 1 document upload I tried today and it didn't work

I was able to upload documents successfully yesterday(7th Oct) and it showed up on my Draft, but when I went to submit my application everything was lost. The draft size size was around 1 MB

At the end you put your zipcode and find your closest field office which are the ones were people have the interviews for several types of cases.

Hi guys, I have a question regarding travels outside US when preparing N400.

Long story short, I am hitting 5 year anniversary as PR soon, starting preparing the N400, online, and after collected all my travel history in past 5 years, and realized I have 3 trips in which I went out 3 months+, with the longest about 4.5 months. Is that gonna be an issue I need to get some sort of documents to explain? If so what do I need ? Thanks
