I am trying to file my DS-260 with my case number and invoice number they sent me. However, it just tells me about how all non-immigrant visas needs a DS-160. I need to fill this out before Friday but I keep running into this issue. It cant be to make another DS-160 because my case number is correlated to my DS-160 that I had already filed and paid for.

So you are saying you already filled out your DS-160 and paid for it? I believe that is all you need to do. You don't fill out the DS-260 for this visa.

K-1 visa applicants do not complete a DS-260.   DS-260s are for immigrant visas only.  Sometimes, they send a generic email which doesn't apply.

Seconded....sounds like a generic/templated email of the IV unit. K-1 always completes a DS-160, not a D-260.

If you have completed the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application then there is nothing more you need to do. If you have a sizeable error on the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application then create a new one and only bring the confirmation page with bar code to the interview from the newly created DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. The only DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application that the CO can see at the interview is the one with the bar code that you present. If you have small mistake, like a misspelling or you left off a particular job then bring the information to the interview and advise your CO and ask that they update the DS-160 that's missing this information.

The DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application is for K-1's and the DS-260 Immigrant Visa Electronic Application for CR-1/IR-1 applicants.
