Am I supposed to get a separate notice for my I-485 biometrics? The one I got and did on Jan 8th said it was for my I-765. Still hasn't updated online btw.

You should get a separate one for i485. My letter arrived about a week after I did my i765 bio but it depends on your service centre

For now, I got only approval for i765 and i131 and are waiting for the combo card to arrive and the interview for i485.

I received my interview date today but my field office scheduled for Feb 5th (very soon) and my husband has surgery that day so I requested a change and USCIS placed the request so I’ll wait for my new date!

Hi everyone long time no posting since couple months ago! Happy to see everyone's case starting to move along. I got my biometric letter at the end of December, and did my biometric for I-485, 765, 131 on Jan 8th at the local ASC. I-485 status is "Ready to be scheduled for Interview" as of this morning. Case was initially filed at the beginning of July 2020.

Happy that worked out for you!! I filed in early July as well and did my biometrics for i-485 and i-765 on January 8th. No updates as yet but glad to see that you and I have a similar timeline and you are making progress! Good luck!!

UPDATE:  I-485 status is "Ready to be scheduled for Interview as of January 15th! Did biometrics on the Jan 8th.

Yes. But being from Brooklyn, I'm sure that will be scheduled after a year or so. I just want my EAD so I can finally go back to working. LOL

Hey! I'm curious why you think that your interview will be scheduled so long ago when the status is now "case is ready to be scheduled for interview?"

I know COVID led to a lot of delays.. but was curious why you think it's that long. It sucks to know :( I'm also a July flier but in the NYC field office.

Also, did you submit i-693 along with your application?

Thanks!

You can check it on USCIS: https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

Brooklyn's processing time is 18-38 months. That's why I prefer to have my EAD and AP approved ASAP instead so I can work and travel back home even without the green card.

I am adjusting from tourist visa and I'm planning to have my medical exam taken probably after 1 year of my submission since it expires. I will keep on checking the processing times to see if it changes and will adjust my medical schedule as I see fit.

Did you apply for EAD and AP as well?

That's smart... we actually had the medical exam completed about 2 months ago, I hope we get an interview before we have to re-do it.

I heard some people got their interviews waived but for us, that seems pretty unlikely since they didn't receive our i-693 medical forms yet.

Interview waiver is still a possibility. Some I-693 deficiency notices say: "If your case does not require an interview, you will receive a Request for Evidence with instructions."

I still haven't gotten any updates on my RFE, which was received by the USCIS in October. No I-485 bio appointment either. I did do my EAD bio app. but that one still says "Case was received". Is this any reason to worry?
