Hello July 2020 filers!

Update: My wife received her EAD card the first week of December and never received her SSN, so I have been calling the office this week and she finally have an appointment tomorrow with the Social Security office! I'm so grateful she finally got one because we have been trying to get her SSN since July 2020!

I did my biometrics on Dec 22 and there hasn't been any status update yet. Should I be concerned??

Also curious how many people already have their EAD approved. Lawfully seems to imply most people should've gotten it but visajourney paints a different story.

No change to both 485 and EAD?

i did bio 12/14 also no updates. Seems July’s moving quite slowly after bio

Hi! I see a lot of people getting approved for EAD expediting their cases, I have 2 questions about this:

1. When you expedite your EAD it also helps to receive the Advance parole faster? assuming they approve combo card

2. Does anybody know what PD is being processed for EAD in NBC? (without expediting)

I'm a July filer and I have a possible job offer for February so I'm looking forward to receive my EAD within this month or the beginning of next one. The possible employer is not willing to provide an offer without my EAD being approved first.

Thanks

By refusing to do it for that reason (i.e. your EAD being approved first) your potential employer might be breaking the law: https://www.eeoc.gov/pre-employment-inquiries-and-citizenship "Federal law also prohibits employers from conducting the Form I-9 and E-Verify processes before the employee has accepted an offer of employment."

Also: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/employee-rights-and-resources/employee-rights "Your employer may not: Ask to see your employment authorization documents before hiring you or before you complete Form I-9.

Yes. But being from Brooklyn, I'm sure that will be scheduled after a year or so. I just want my EAD so I can finally go back to working. LOL

I did my biometrics yesterday (January 8 ) and my case updated to this? "As of January 8, 2021, fingerprints relating to your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number MSC20xxxxxxx, have been applied to your case."

What happens next and what is the approximate timeline?

From when my case status updated to when I received my EAD was two weeks but it can be longer

First time posting.  My wife receive her biometrics appointment  letter today for the Alexandria Field office for early January.   The sad thing we changed our address from the DC area to Idaho and have the email confirmation.  Yet the letter still went to the old address.  I'm happy the letter was actually forwarded as the online status hasn't been updated since the case was received.

For those that want to know her priority date is July 22nd.

Biometrics appointment was completed on January 7th and last night case was updated to ready to be scheduled for an interview.  I guess the waiting begins again.
