I'm assuming I-485 changed to "ready to be scheduled for interview." Did I-765 change too?

Yes, just the I-485. No changes with I-765. I'm from Brooklyn and I'm assuming interview will happen a year or so from when I submitted it. Unless there's some kind of a miracle lol.

Ok, then it's normal. I-485 updates won't say anything about EAD since EAD has it's own updates through I-765 number.

Thanks for replying and may you have a happy new year! @HRQX

Finally got my biometrics appointment today...after waiting for 5 months.

I was so stressed seeing most July filers and some August filers got theirs. I tried submitting e-request, talking to Emma, just no news at all.

This is the best gift for the New Year.

My location is Tustin, CA. Seems like things are going extremely slow here. If you're from here too, don't worry too much, you'll get yours soon!

PD  7/29. The letter was dated 12/22. Appointment scheduled on 1/22.

EAD processing time is really horrible nowadays. AOS applicants can expect to wait 4 - 9 months before they can start working!

On December 21st, that was shorter and the "Receipt date for a case inquiry" was already June 6, 2020, not April 4. A few days later; it was pushed back by a couple of months. I agree; this is becoming absurd and our hopes have become based on a "moving target". UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

I received my letter for my biometrics appointment (Jan 8th!) 🎉 However, my case status still says 'Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received'. Is the biometrics letter an indication that my RFE has been approved? And should I expect this status to change after the biometrics?

You’re fine. Mine was like that as well. After your biometrics it will change. Congratulations 🎉

My timeline so far for those interested:

10/2019- applied for 130 (consular processing)

07/2020-130 approved- received NVC letter

07/29/2020- 765/131/485 received

12/14/2020- biometrics appointment (765/485)

12/15/2020-case was updated to fingerprints

nothing since. Really hoping for either a “ready to be scheduled for interview” soon, since my field office seems quite quick and the EAD getting approved. I was working as a pilot overseas and really would like to get back to work, since I was the main source of income for our family.

Best of luck to all

Hello July 2020 filers!

I finally got my fingerprints taken yesterday (Greer SC) and I was wondering if the AOS interview usually takes place in the same local office or not necessarily. Do you guys know? Thank you!

Sigh... My husband (beneficiary) successfully submitted an expedite request on Jan 4 based on the financial hardship, as he's received a job offer while he hasn't been invited for the biometrics. The rep on the phone told him that they may send him an email to ask for additional details - we expected that we would be asked to submit an offer letter etc. Today (Jan 7), we received an email notice stating his request has been denied as he hasn't provided the evidence of the financial hardship.... well, we were not even asked to provide ones? Has anyone experienced something like this? This is so frustrating...
