7/23/20 - Check was cashed

7/24/20 - Text/Mail notification

8/01/20 - Received NOA

 

A couple of questions regarding the I-797:

- is the petitioner and beneficiary name supposed to be the same? Mine is. 

- is there supposed to be a priority date? Mine is blank.

My i-797 is the same. My name is both in the petitioner and beneficiary fields and priority date is blank.

Does anyone here know average wait time until someone at least touches your case? Obviously it largely depends on the case but still.. I feel like the pandemic must be pushing wait times much further.

Yes... I know. An alternative would be to use https://www.lawfully.com/ app which once you enter your case, it shows the probability of your case being done within different months in the processing time range.

Here it is:

Posted July 14th USPS priority regular mail with tracking.
Delivered July 17th.
Check cashed 24th July
Text received 24th July with case number
USCIS online case status says application was received July 17th.
NOA1 printed July 26th, and it arrived in the mail Aug 3rd.
Online case status updated Aug 4th to say previous biometrics applied.
