Delivered
PHOENIX, AZ 85036
Your item was delivered at 10:17 am on July 20, 2020 in PHOENIX, AZ 85036 to USCIS 21200. The item was signed for T WRIGHT.

above is what my USPS tracking shows. I had not requested the signature but mine has been signed for someone. I think yours is fine because it was delivered to the correct zip code of USCIS lockbox even it was not signed by someone.

I wonder if it's a glitch in the USPS Online Tracking system. For some it shows signed and by who and others it just states delivered? If so, it's just another public institution that's broken in this nation lol.

Did you request signature when you sent it at USPS? as long it showed delivered to the USCIS zip code. I definitely it was/will be picked up by USCIS.

No I did not request a signature, should I have? All I requested was a tracking #.

So I think that is why your item was not signed for someone. That is not necessary to request signature. Although I did not request signature but my item still was signed for someone lol.

Strike that,  y'all. I did a search and found some threads saying G-1145 is only for applications that get sent to the lock boxes, not service centers (which is where RoC goes).

Anyhoo, I'm finally putting together our cover letter. Sharing it here for feedback and to help others who wander into the thread and are starting RoC themselves. Note: I'm still not on our lease (haha) and I don't have a driver's license (bleh, darn you, driving anxiety!). So I don't have any ID's with our address on it but all of my mail gets sent to our address, obviously. I'm hoping that won't affect us too much. We have lots of other paperwork. We also don't have any pets or a vehicle right now, so any other suggestions are highly appreciated!

1.       Check for $595 (filing fee) + $85 (biometrics fee) = $685 TOTAL

2.       Form I-751

3.       Copy of PR card

4.       Copy of marriage cert

5.       Copy of 2017 Tax Transcript

6.       Copy of 2018 Tax Transcript

7.       Joint Bank Statements (5 total, 2019 and 2020)

8.       Water/Power bills (5 total, 2019 and 2020)

9.       Medical Insurance Cards

(These are from my old jobs so they're expired now. I also don't have the actual "policies" that I see a lot of people reference. I tried logging into my online accounts for these companies but they just have my basic info listed. I'm hoping the insurance cards alone are okay. I also JUST became eligible for benefits at my current job but the website had major technical difficulties this week. I'm not sure I'll get anything from them in time before we submit RoC).

10.   Copies of deed and purchaser's agreement for our time-share

(Yes we have one and honestly it's been great!)

11.   Wedding Invoices from our venue, photographer, rentals, etc.

12.   Honeymoon Documents

- Boarding passes

- Cruise ship registration

13. Photos over 2019 and 2020 (about 20 total from our wedding, trips, get-together's, etc)

Oh really?! I just did a search and most people said G-1145 is for lock box applications and RoC is service center.

Can you link where you heard this?

On the USCIS website for i751, under special instructions, it says you can file G-1145 with your ROC application.

https://www.uscis.gov/i-751

I filed G-1145 with my I-751 about two weeks ago, and received a text yesterday that USCIS received my application. I sent with USPS, so I mailed it to a PO box based on the instructions here:

If you send your package using USPS, you send it to a lockbox that distributes it to service centers. We included G-1145 when filing at the Phoenix lockbox last month and got our text notification.

Your list looks fine to me. You might have some affidavits with your app. Your fee is total 680$ not 685$. If you sent wrong amount they would reject it. They give a special instruction to include G-1145 with I-751 to get text/email notifications when they receive your application.

Why didn't you apply for a State ID? DMVs can issue State Idx which are not Driver's Licenses.

So some good news, it seems USCIS was only bluffing when they said they would lay off staff, in order to get the stimulus payment from congress. They had to reveal that they are in fact operating with a surplus, and have delayed the lay offs for now. However they are still holding on to it as a bargaining chip to get the stimulus payment. So just politics as usual imo.

We sent ours a bit late. Our window opened the July 7 and we sent our package on July 21 through USPS to USCIS P.O.Box and when we checked today (July 26) using USPS tracking number, it is tagged as "available for pick up" dated July 25. I am worried. We mailed it to USCIS lockbox/PO Box and now we are wondering why it is tagged by USPS that way. Anyone who has the same experience? Im extremely worried. 😢😨
