Maybe cause they are doing layoffs due to lack of funding??

But that wasn't supposed to happen until August.

It’s not furlough. I talked to a friend at USCIS and they said the email is coming out tomorrow about the furlough. They have to give the employees 30 days notice so it won’t start until August. I’ll check back with them tomorrow about the email.

Also, correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t it always say that but underneath where it says “the offices listed below are closed”, they listed the actual offices that were closed. I mean, a few weeks ago it listed so many and as time went on, the list got shorter. Up until yesterday when it was only 2 NY field offices that remained closed. Maybe all are open now and they just haven’t changed the wording of the first statement?

What is going on? This is crazy! I’m still waiting for my AOS interview. When you google a particular office (in my case Albany, New York) google has it as “temporarily closed” again. Why is this happening? I hope it’s a glitch but this is becoming too much. It’s causing so many problems. I’m starting to freak out.... please God can this nightmare just be over with already :(

Wouldn’t they say something about this on their Twitter?

I am so confused by all of this. What could be the reason to close field offices again? It doesn’t make any sense.

I saw that. You said something about an official notice that’s what I asked about.

The website simply looks like all offices have re-opened now (since none is on the list).
