Hello,

 

we finally got the NVC number after emailing them (that was the solution lol) thanks to the pdf.

 

 

Now they say we have to wait because Trump closed everything for France :)

Check yours today when you have a moment, Mine changed to ready this morning ☺️! I think because it’s such a small country that process like 100-200 K1 visas a year they probably sent all the cases at

Aaaah!! I checked mine and it changed to ''Ready'' also! This is so exciting !! Yay!  😀

How did Trump succeed in "closing down" France? He is that influential that he was able to "close down" public transportation, restaurants, stores, business's, schools, playgrounds etc. How did he close everything down? What influence did he have that convinced the entire country to "close down" because of him, Trump? Oy Vey!

Trump banned EU for 30 days, you remember? well the 30 days are actually extended and the US Embassies are not processing visas anymore, that's what we got also told in the NVC email

Yes, I am aware of travel bands and they were put in place for a reason, not to spread a life-threatening virus. But my rebuttal is in the way you said that "Trump was responsible for closing down" France. He didn't "close down" (your words not mine) France. He banned travel from the Schengen area (which France belongs) to the US as the pandemic was spreading very quickly. France continued their ways and was free to continue their lifestyle as they saw fit. Reporting facts is much wiser way of communicating the actual event. Just my opinion. Today we know the person responsible for the pandemic is Chairman XI of the CCP but your diatribe is not directed to the factual person who is responsible for the "closing down" of France but to "Trump".

To clear some misunderstanding :

 

When I said "we have to wait because Trump closed everything for France" I meant they closed the US Embassy in Paris, not the whole country lol (which is not the case at the moment)
Also saying "Trump" was a shortcut for Trump's Administration. 

 

 

 

The first message was just to let people know K1 visas are paused at the moment here because I know some other embassies (like India I believe?) resumed their services during Summer :)

As long as you have the case number you can complete the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application.

I was checking the case status on me and my fiancé’s case. And it changed from “At NVC” to “In Transit” and then to “Ready”. What does the status “Ready” mean??? I’m confused because I took it as the embassy in Panama got our case and that we were ready to schedule our interview. We emailed the embassy and we gave them our case number and then they replied by asking for a few for a few documents and that they will send us the stuff for my fiancé to get her medical exams and they said that once they receive the results and documents that they schedule her interview. My fiancé got her medical exams and sent the documents last Friday. She got an email today from the embassy saying they didn’t receive our physical paperwork from the NVC yet. So I’m just wondering what this “Ready” status actually means?? I’m just confused now.
