I was checking the case status on me and my fiancé’s case. And it changed from “At NVC” to “In Transit” and then to “Ready”. What does the status “Ready” mean??? I’m confused because I took it as the embassy in Panama got our case and that we were ready to schedule our interview. We emailed the embassy and we gave them our case number and then they replied by asking for a few for a few documents and that they will send us the stuff for my fiancé to get her medical exams and they said that once they receive the results and documents that they schedule her interview. My fiancé got her medical exams and sent the documents last Friday. She got an email today from the embassy saying they didn’t receive our physical paperwork from the NVC yet. So I’m just wondering what this “Ready” status actually means?? I’m just confused now.

Go to the first page of this thread and in the first post there is a link to a PDF file that talks about the different status found on CEAC.

Check yours today when you have a moment, Mine changed to ready this morning ☺️! I think because it’s such a small country that process like 100-200 K1 visas a year they probably sent all the cases at once and so it took them a little longer to enter them into the system once they received them (just guessing).

Thanks @ATJ!! Yup! Ours changed today too! 😄🥰 we're getting so close now! Hopefully they'll have plenty of appointments available and soon!

Hello, i’m sorry for this question.

I’m kind of confused right now. So i have our case number and invoice number by inquiring thru AskNVC we completed the DS -160 too. But we haven’t received any welcome letter from NVC, the last time I called them I asked for further instructions and what they told me is to wait for a letter coming from them since the PH Embassy still not doing routine visas and that i don't have to do anything right now. But am I supposed to pay the fees and submit to them the affidavit of support and other documents before they send it to the embassy? Please advise. 😔

You won't get a letter from NVC until your file ships to the embassy. Everything you need is on the embassy's website. You should be in the sub-forum fir the Philippines 🇵🇭

Hello everyone,

I hope you are doing great.

So I am a bit confused, by reading testimonies: so, I have completed my DS-160, 1 month ago (literally), I got the pdf in my emails that shows I did it.

However, now I don't know if I am supposed to get an email from the American Embassy in France telling me to create an account for an appointment, or if I don't have to wait an email from them and create it now?

Thank you for helping

After reading the requirements on the US Embassy France website, it states nothing on how to pay the fee and register. If you case file has not been sent to France and your CEAC status doesn't show ready, you in all likely hood will not be able to register, pay the fee and schedule and interview. So, let's answer this question first. Do you have your case number from NVC? What is your status at CEAC?

In reviewing the link USE Paris is not processing K-1 visa's unless you are in a NIE category. This is explained in further detail on the USE Paris website. I will quote a part of the proclamation here:

There are limited exceptions to the proclamations. In mid-July 2020, the Department announced that certain business travelers, investors, treaty traders, academics (professors, research scholars, short term scholars, or specialists), and students may qualify for national interest exceptions (NIE). The Embassy will resume visa processing for these categories shortly.

Calling is not going to move you to the head of the line. Just must wait till USE Paris opens their doors for K-1 processing. BTW you should be a part of the conversation in your country's sub-forum here on VJ. Go to the blue ribbon above, select "forums" then scroll about three-fourths of the page down and select the region that most represents where your country is located.

There is a PDF on the first page in the first post of this thread where I outline everything that needs to be completed with additional helpful tips. That's a good place to start. Next place is to scour your embassies website for additional information. After that, you should be a part of the conversation for your country here on VJ. Go to the blue ribbon above, select "forums" then scroll about three-fourths of the page down and select the region that most represents where your country is located.

How's everyone doing in here? Anyone getting interviews yet?

Hello it's hard but we try to keep faith.

Only UK people I know got interviews.

I might pay the fees for the embassy since Trump reopened (for a day? lol) the borders - who know's maybe Biden will process the pending interviews
