Neel,

I feel your pain...for my time line is very similar! I was calm for the first 3 months...but now I feel like we should be approved already and I'm starting to FREEEEEAAAAAK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! APPROVE IT ALREADY! lol

And yes, it does usually seem like Friday is the big day each week. What really kills me is when I check VJ all day long and like no one gets approved. Argggggh.

Best of luck to all of us who are waiting.

Wife's visa journey:

Sumon,

Just wondering if you made an Infopass appointment? The last time my husband went (June 8th) the immigration officer told him that the local offices are now allowed to fax information over to the service centers - we didn't believe that would really help, but then two days later my husband received a confirmation and tracking number for our claim and an approval two weeks later...but that might have just been coincidence...

So sorry you have to go through this - I thought I was going to go crazy after three months...couldn't even imagine how you must feel.

- S

I went to Local office at Albany NY through infopass appointment on 06/18/2007 and the on duty officer told me she can't do anything but write a letter to the USCIS on be half of me as Local office doesn't deal with I-130 petition. I don't know how come the policy is different for different centers..this is so disappointing... I have seeked all kind of help from senators and congressman yet no help... I think I have showed enough patience.... I did not find any single case that match with my situation... I can't bear it any more.... I will be really going crazy soon.... look at my I-129F...thought atleast it will move on schedule.... it is also seems to be stuck like many of you.... so my luck is not favoring me in any path that I am chosing...God please help me as well as all of us out from this .... please please

OK everyone. I got some news today - not good new, mind you, but it may shed light on other people's delays:

I wrote my Congressman who said that the official recieved date was changed to May 1st, 2007, 35 days after they actually recieved it. Aparently, they don't count the other office having recieved it first - they've started the clock over, moved the goal posts. Damn.

So everyone who was moved to the CSC or is in the CSC, you may expect longer delays.

Well of course...that makes perfect sense. They want this process to be as frustrating and unfair as possible. What a bunch of wankers.

Alan, our timelines are really similar...so my condolensces to you!

Somehow, that is actually a little comforting. At least there is a reason.

Today, June 27 I went to the local USCIS office as I was told yesterday, and the Immigration officer told me that she called Vermont and they acknowledged the inquiry from Congressman and they told her that an immigration officer is currently reviewing it. Finally somebody is reviewing (If she told me the truth).... all these day they didn't even touch it....However, I don't see any touches on any of my cases yet on my web portfolio. So I am confused whether I was told the truth or not as we know that whenever some one works on a case it usually updates the date even though the message could be same as "pending"... any way She told me to give them a week or two and check back letter... I can't wait even a day and now I have to wait 2 week.... even then I will be happy if I get some reply... whether "Yes" "No" "Go to hell"... anything....

Hang in there a little while longer. There is bound to be some visible activity soon. I too have filed an expedite request and asked for help from my congressman. 2 days after my expedite request was sent I started to see some touch activity. So far there has been no concrete progress but at least I know somebody is working on it. It's not much but it helps.
