hi everyone. my filing date(waiver) is july 2020. I see(and i'm happy) that many people filed at the same time or even after me received notifications for either interview or "file moved to another office"

i did not hear anything since biometrics in august 2020.

i also filed n400 in february 2021.

i see people getting updates and approvals even if they filed 1-2 months after me.

why is my application getting skipped? i'm just losing hope.

hi my i751 is potomac

Processing time for that is 20-24 months, so at least you will be able to inquire in a few months.

Have you had your biometrics or reuse notice for the N-400?

thanks for reply. yes biometrics reuse notice was the last notice i got for n400 and i751.

my main concern was i know many people received interview notices or approved when they applied at the same month or even after me. this is what i'm confused about.

  • 2 weeks later...

I am applying for my N-400 (I thought waiting might help my I-751 but clearly I was mistaken) and every time I upload evidence I get an error message. I checked all of my document sizes - none of them are too big. This has now happened several times this week and last week. Any advice? Starting to worry that I'll have to redo the entire application.

Is it a pdf document that you are trying to upload?

Mostly PDFs! They are also not huge (around 3 MG each, way less than the 6 mg limit)

If these PDFs were downloaded online then you will not be able to upload it to USCIS website (happened with me and others as well, might be due to some technical limitations).

The workaround I used was - snipped each page into jpeg format and then converted each of them into PDFs and finally combined them in one PDF. I know it's a lot of work but it will be worth! Unless you can find a conversion tool which convert online PDFs into non-online format PDF.

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC has a 7 day free trial.  It is very easy to use.  You can combine all the PDF files into one.  I have it on my computer.  One can use it for up to 7 days and then cancel or keep it for $28/month afterwards (which is what I did).

I just did that and I keep getting a message saying that an error occurred (none of the files are larger than 4 MG). I feel like I might cry. I dont understand what's going on!

So I did try this and it's not working. Any other tips? Is there anyone I can call for help?

I would try a few things:

1) Try to login to your USCIS account using a different browser and see if it allows you to upload it there.  This is just in case there is an issue with the browser (although I highly doubt it)

2) Regarding the source where the documents were created/downloaded...did you scan them into your computer or did you download and then save on the computer?  I have noticed when you scan something into a computer, the file sizes are MUCH larger.  I usually try to print the document and instead of sending it to printer, I then select "save as a PDF file" and it then gets saved to my hard drive (I use Mac).

Hope this helps.

Just tried that and it didn't work 😕

Does anyone know if there's a tech support line? I don't know what this could be. This is how it shows up when I try to review the application (after it says:

Encountered an unexpected error retrieving draft evidence.

at the top.
