Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing okay.

I arrived here in US on 19th of March. My last day of arrival will be on 16th of June. Our wedding got delayed because of the virus.
I haven't apply for my SSN yet, and our wedding will be on 3rd of June. I called the SSN and they told me to mail them my original passport and form I-94. Am a little bit worried mailing my original passport.  Is there any way to apply SSN? or can I apply SSN once I apply my AOS and EADThank youuuuuuu so much! Be safe everyone

SSA offices are currently closed.  You don't need ssn for AOS or EAD,  in fact you can get an ssn issued automatically upon EAD approval

YMMV

Thank you for your help. Some said it's advisable to apply for SSN before you get married. Maybe we will just do what you said as we have no choice right because of the virus. Also, another question. Regarding the Form I-994, is these documents are required to submit together the form?

Yes it is advisable to obtain a SS card before you get married but that ship has sailed. You needed to get it shortly after arrival, not a week before your I94 expires. Do not send your passport.

Your question about the I944 is confusing. If you are asking if you need to submit it with AOS- yes you do.

Thank you. SSA office has been closed since I arrived in US.

About I944, some says you have to include your Diploma and Transcript of Records documents?

Then the SS card was out of your control; I couldn’t remember when the offices closed but knew it was sometime in March. For the i944- yes if you have an educational transcript, diploma or  certificate submit it. If you have any occupational training certificate submit that as well.

As far as I remember its March 17, I arrived here in US March 19. Our best option is to request the SS card in my EAD form.

the i944- is copy will do? Also is it required to be evaluated by NACES?

You don't need a SSN for AOS at all FYI. It does make many things much easier to do but you won't be receiving one at this late point in your approved stay. So you will just have to wait until you receive your EAD or GC in order to get one

on the i-944 form instructions there is a link to  list of academies that will take your diploma (college for example) and will certify what your degree is according to american standards, I did it, it costs around 100 usd and sent it with my i-944 package, I already received a notification that they received my package so it seems that is what they needed. if you can send it I recommend you do because it will help your case, I dont know if not sending it will make them send you RE
