Okay so I understand that these times are pretty tough but I checked the app and saw that for the 100 cases from my case number (My NOA1 is April 7th) not a single other April 7th case has been looked at yet (apparently). Literally all of them are only saying that the case has been received. Why is it that it only sees to be the April 7th cases that haven't been looked at yet? Do they perhaps have some person that is specifically there to look at April 7th cases exclusively or something nd they're like, on vacation or something?

Can I share somethings with you that I learned long ago about this process?

    • "the man with the gold makes the rules"
    • it will take as long as it will take
    • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
    • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
    • Your journey is not going to mirror someone else's experience - yours and theirs are not the same
    • They only promised you a YES or NO answer. Never an exact time that their decision would be completed
    • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual

Good luck on your journey

In the same boat. 6 April and watching late April dates get approved while nothing happens with 6 April cases. It’s beyond frustrating.

Go to https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ to determine your processing timeline according to where USCIS is currently adjudicating I-129f filings. If you case is outside the current processing time, then you can submit an inquiry. Instructions are on the same page as to how and when to do this.

I submitted an inquiry in early November. We got a response on 26 November saying basically “Sorry, can’t tell you anything. Just keep waiting.” And apparently I can’t submit another one.

And it looks like USCIS California pushed the processing times again to 7.5 to 9.5 months, and the inquiry date to 22 March...even though they’ve already processed late April filers.

At least it includes the march filers that were left behind now

Does the case tracker app update at the same time as the case status on USCIS’ website?

Also does anyone have the link to the app?

I got nothing out of using the app. My guess is that it just scrapes the same info that's available on the website.   The only thing it saves you from doing is checking manually every day

Some have reported receiving the test message from the app before USCIS updates the website. "your mileage may vary"

Note: the USCIS Case Tracker app lets you set a range of WAC# before and after yours to see the status of those cases. Very slick tool to ascertain where you are in the processing timeline of USCIS compared to others.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Finally :D  NOA2 December 29th!  After my last post I had just sort of given up on obsessing over it, checking the website&app at least twice a day, I just figured I would worry about it later in January.   I was driving home from work tonight, on the phone with him and he asked me what it meant when the website said "Approved".  I'm so happy, and so so relieved.

*(Yes, he knew what approved meant, he was just being a giant adorable butt :) )  I hope this next part doesn't take 274 days!

Congratulations! I found that when waiting for something to happen on our journey, it was always best to stay away from checking. I used the apps and when something in our steps had a notification, it would come, and I would deal with it. Whether that was a document that needed to be completed or that something was confirmed that the adjudication was complete, and I was receiving a notification as such. That gave me so much peace of mind.
